CircuitLord’s free Titanfall 2 VR mod turns the game’s single-player campaign into a PC VR experience, with head tracking, hand-aimed weapons, manual reloads and Titan controls. Those systems make its fast, acrobatic combat an unusually compelling fit for VR—but wall-running, grappling and rapid movement can also be uncomfortable, and the project is not a multiplayer conversion.
What the Titanfall 2 VR mod changes
CircuitLord’s community-made mod adds VR support to the campaign. Its documented features include stereo rendering, full-body inverse kinematics, manual reloading and Titan controls. Road to VR also reports head tracking, weapon aiming and manual reloading across the game’s weapon roster.
The combination is the appeal: you can aim weapons with your hands, move your head independently and take control of a Titan in VR. Scott Hayden wrote in Road to VR’s October 2, 2026 report, “The amount of motion in the game goes above and beyond even a regular flatscreen shooter.” That intensity is a selling point for players who enjoy active VR combat, not proof that the game is objectively one of the best VR games ever.
It is a campaign mod, not a multiplayer conversion
The supported scope is the single-player campaign. Road to VR explicitly describes the mod as campaign-only, so do not install it expecting VR support for multiplayer matches.

How to install and launch it
You need an existing PC copy of Titanfall 2 and a PC VR setup. The mod does not include the game. According to the installer repository, the installer can locate a Steam, EA or Xbox installation, checks for the EA app, and sets up Northstar and the mod in a separate profile named TF2VR.
- Install Titanfall 2 through Steam, EA or Xbox. The installer requires the EA app to be available.
- Get and run CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer, following its current repository instructions.
- Start SteamVR or the VR runtime you intend to use, then select Launch in VR in the installer.
The repository says the installer keeps the VR setup separate from ordinary game launches, which remain unmodded. It also documents separate VR save and settings storage at %LOCALAPPDATA%RespawnTitanfall2_VR.

Will it work with Quest, Vive or Index?
The available documentation uses general VR-runtime language but does not establish a list of officially tested headset models or a minimum PC specification for CircuitLord’s conversion. A specific headset should not be treated as confirmed compatible on that basis alone. The separate TinyBlkDog project has its own hardware and runtime notes; those do not establish compatibility for CircuitLord’s mod.
Is it safe, and what is open source?
The installer repository says the installer is MIT-licensed, while the mod itself is closed source and all rights reserved. The projects are community-made and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the game’s developers or publishers.

A VR.org examination of the repository reported that the installer checks downloaded files against SHA-256 hashes and records files it writes so uninstall can remove those recorded files. That describes reported repository behavior; it is not an independent security audit. Review the project’s current documentation and source before running third-party software.
What to expect from movement and comfort
VR puts the campaign’s wall-running, double-jumping, sliding and grappling in direct view, but those same movements mean frequent, rapid changes in perspective. Road to VR warns that the motion can make the experience unsuitable for some players. Snap turning is available, but it does not remove the discomfort that fast movement may cause.

If you are unsure how you will respond, start with a short session and take breaks as needed. That is general comfort advice, not a developer-tested protocol or a guarantee that the game will feel comfortable.

Search results also surface a separate project from TinyBlkDog. It is an alpha Northstar client plugin, not another name for CircuitLord’s full-conversion installer. The table compares the projects’ documented scope and setup; it is not based on hands-on testing.

What you need before deciding to try it
- A PC installation of Titanfall 2; the mod is not a standalone game.
- A PC VR setup and a runtime you can launch. The cited sources do not confirm specific headset compatibility for this mod.
- A willingness to play the single-player campaign with substantial fast movement.
If you already have the game, a PC and a compatible VR setup, the mod itself is free. If you do not own a headset, buying one is an optional way to enable the experience—not a product recommendation, since the cited sources do not verify any particular headset with this conversion.
