Its initial release window was 2027, but a 2026 report of an Amazon Games executive referring to 2028 has made the timing uncertain. The official pages located still list 2027.
Was Tomb Raider: Catalyst leaked before The Game Awards?
The available official announcements establish an unveiling at The Game Awards on December 11, 2025; they do not substantiate a separate leak ahead of the event. Crystal Dynamics announced Catalyst alongside Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis in its The Game Awards announcement. The official Tomb Raider: Catalyst page likewise describes the game as unveiled at the event.
When does Tomb Raider: Catalyst come out?
The release timing is unsettled. Crystal Dynamics and the official Tomb Raider page list a 2027 window, and Amazon’s announcement also described Catalyst as coming in 2027. In July 2026, however, Gematsu reported that Amazon Games leader Jeffrey Gattis referred to a 2028 launch; the same report said Amazon Games had no timing update. That secondary report does not establish a formally confirmed replacement window.
For now, 2027 remains the window on the official pages found, while 2028 has been reported but not confirmed as a revised date. The sources do not give a specific day or month.
