There is no evidence-backed universal “fastest car” ranking in the available player discussions: they mix theoretical top speed, speeds reached on a road, challenge recommendations and different tunes. The ten cars below are therefore a practical shortlist of community-reported high-speed candidates—not a controlled top-ten leaderboard. For a real comparison, use the same route, direction, upgrades, tires and tuning approach, and compare speeds actually reached in repeat runs.
What “fastest” means in Forza Horizon 4
A car’s tuning-screen or theoretical maximum is not the same as the speed it can reach on a particular road. Nor does a high top speed necessarily make it quickest through a speed trap or around a circuit. Route length, handling, tires, class and tuning all affect the result. The forum posts below are player reports, not official records or standardized head-to-head tests.

10 community-reported high-speed candidates
This is an editorial selection, not an ordered ranking. The evidence does not support comparing every car on one common scale.

Jaguar D-type
In a discussion about the fastest S1 car, one participant estimated a modified theoretical maximum of about 471.5 km/h (293 mph). The thread also cautioned that the available road is too short to reach that figure, so treat it as a build estimate—not a verified road-run speed. Koenigsegg Agera RS
Players named the Agera RS among their highest-speed cars; a separate report put it around 450 km/h in a particular setup. Neither post establishes a repeatable result across tunes or routes. “Fastest S1 car?” (2018) and “Fastest car help?” (2019)
-
McLaren F1
One participant included the F1 among the highest speeds they had reached, while another described it as drivable at around 400 km/h in an S900 setup. These are player observations tied to specific builds, not standardized measurements. Official Forza Community Forums, “Fastest S1 car?” (2018)

Mosler MT900S
Community participants recommend the MT900S for highway speed challenges and report near-300-mph potential, but do not provide a shared test route or reproducible setup. Other cars in the challenge discussion
Players also suggest cars for highway speed challenges without supplying enough consistent setup and run data to rank them. Use those recommendations as starting points for your own route-specific testing, rather than as proof of a top-speed order. Official Forza Community Forums, “435 km/h challenge” (2020)

Stock-spec cars from the car list
A historical car-list discussion provides stock-spec information, but stock specifications are not equivalent to maximum upgrades or tuned speed. It cannot establish a tenth-place tuned-car contender, so there is no evidence-based tenth car to add to a ranked list. ManteoMax, Official Forza Community Forums, “Forza Horizon 4 Car List” (2019)
How to compare cars fairly in your own runs
For a useful personal comparison, decide whether you care about theoretical maximum speed, speed reached on a route, speed-trap performance or circuit pace. Then keep the test consistent:
- Choose one measure. For a highway run, record the highest speed actually shown during the drive; do not substitute a tuning-screen estimate.
- Use the same route and direction. A longer stretch gives a car more room to accelerate, so route changes can change the result.
- Document the build. Record upgrades, drivetrain, tires, class and tune so the result can be repeated.
- Repeat the runs. Compare more than one run per car rather than relying on a single best attempt.
- Separate speed from circuit usefulness. If you care about lap or race performance, assess handling alongside top speed and keep class-specific comparisons separate.
The community discussions do not provide this standardized set of measurements across ten cars. Consequently, they support a shortlist of candidates, not a defensible universal order.
