What is the Topgolf Fortnite map?
Topgolf Universe was an interactive island built with Fortnite’s Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). ZONED’s September 24, 2024 announcement described a Topgolf facility and arcade-style activities, presenting the island as a digital promotional experience tied to the real-world venue brand. It was not an Epic Games-produced or endorsed experience. The announcement explicitly stated that the island was not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games, and included Epic’s required disclaimer for promotions: “This is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games, Inc.” Epic’s Fortnite Developer Rules explain the platform’s rules for creators and promotions.
What activities did the island include?
- Swing Showdown: Players take the role of a golf ball, with gravity and precision central to the challenge.
- Topgolf Speedway: A racing challenge set in the Topgolf environment.
- Golf Ball Ramp Jump Challenge and Whack-a-Ball: Additional golf-ball-themed challenges named in the launch announcement.
- Topgolf World Tour: A mini-golf speedrun through themed versions of Santa Monica, Bangkok, Dubai, and Las Vegas, with increasingly difficult golf-themed obstacles.
How do you play Topgolf in Fortnite?
The launch announcement linked the island to code 2933-6288-8371. Treat this as the island’s launch-era reference, not confirmation that it remains active. Search for or enter the code in Fortnite and check whether the island appears and can be launched; island availability can change. Epic says Fortnite is needed to use UEFN experiences, and describes Fortnite as available across PC, mobile, and console. Those general platform details do not confirm that this particular island is accessible on every device. Epic’s UEFN listing describes UEFN as a free Windows add-on released March 22, 2023.

At launch, the announcement said the creator codes CLIX, BUGHA, NATEHILL, or KAZ would give patrons $15 off gameplay at U.S. Topgolf locations. It also described a World Tour minigame competition whose winner could receive a Topgolf Black Card, which the announcement said granted free Topgolf gameplay for life. These were launch-period promotions; their current validity has not been established.

Who promoted the launch, and what did the company claim?
The announcement named Fortnite players Bugha and Clix, along with creators Nate Hill and Kazify, as promoters. It said Bugha and Clix would livestream to their combined 13.3 million-plus Twitch subscribers. That figure is GameSquare/ZONED’s promotional audience claim from 2024, not an independently verified audience count.
GameSquare/ZONED also projected that a series of partnership campaigns would generate over $3 million in revenue for GameSquare. This was a company projection for the campaigns, not reported realized revenue and not a figure attributable solely to the Topgolf island.

What did Topgolf and ZONED say about the experience?
Topgolf Chief Brand Officer Geoff Cottrill described the collaboration as a way to bring Topgolf’s play experience into the virtual world. ZONED President Carlos Tovar said the project merged traditional sports with the digital world. These are statements from the brand and its marketing agency, rather than independent assessments of the island’s quality or reception.

Did Topgolf earn money from the Fortnite island?
Epic says eligible island developers may receive engagement payouts, with amounts based on engagement and island popularity. That general program description does not establish that the Topgolf island earned a payout. Neither the launch announcement nor the cited Epic materials report Topgolf island earnings. Epic’s UEFN listing describes the engagement payout model.
