What counts as a collectible in Chapter 2?
The game keeps several kinds of progress in separate records. The official feature page describes the Bracer Notebook as recording guild-board quests and key story events; completed quests add a commemorative photo and Estelle’s comment. The Combat Handbook records enemy information after defeats or stuns, while the Recipe Book logs meals the party eats and the Book List stores acquired Liberl News issues and novel volumes.

Those records are useful completion checks, but they do not prove that every chest, loose pickup, or quest reward has been found. The route below calls out the chapter-specific locations supported by the walkthrough, rather than claiming a complete inventory.
Bose to Ruan: books, sidequest, and coastal detour
Before leaving Bose
- Buy Liberl News Issue 4 at the grocery shop.
- Speak with the named town and guild NPCs as you pass through Bose, and check the guild board for available work.
- One listed request is The Stolen Ring. The guide gives its reward as 1,500 mira and 3 Bracer points; confirm the English quest title and reward in your quest log.
Search the coastal road
Watch for Nautilus enemies: the walkthrough warns that they explode when defeated. Near the last beach, take the optional beach path before moving on. It contains a weapon for Joshua and a treasure-map fragment used for a later Ruan request, so skipping the detour can mean backtracking.

A monster request blocks the route toward Ruan, and the guide also flags a difficult monster chest nearby. Its suggested approach is to use protection such as Earth Guard and status effects, with Joshua’s instant-death options against the chest monster. Skill and item names can differ in English localization, so use the in-game descriptions rather than relying on translated names alone.
Pickups noted on arrival in Ruan
The route guide notes a PE 1 at the end of a path east of the armory, materials on the hotel balcony, droplets near the airfield warehouse and duty-free shop, and sepith in the casino-accessible terrace and harbor areas. It also mentions food available at the casino and Aqua Rossa bar. These are route reminders, not a complete chest list.

Take the Ruan requests and find the fishing key
Buy Liberl News Issue 5 at the duty-free shop, visit Jean at the guild, and accept the requests available on the board. For Fishing for Keys, follow the sequence below; the key is one part of the task, not the whole hand-in.

- Search beside the Aqua Rossa stairs for the key.
- Examine the fishing rods upstairs.
- Speak with the bar manager.
- Return the found key and the fishing rod to complete the request.
Inspect every clue at the orphanage
At Mercia Orphanage, speak with Solomon and Zack, then examine all of the following: the burned door, destroyed east wall, burned barrels, spilled milk tanks, flower bed, field, woodpile, and table. The conversation begins after the clues have been examined. The French walkthrough associates the answer translated as “Was it arson?” with 2 bonus Bracer points; select the equivalent wording shown in your English dialogue choices.
Manoria answer and the southern warehouse fight
At Manoria, the guide identifies a second bonus answer, translated as “Did he leave after the delinquents?”, worth 2 bonus points. Match the meaning to the English dialogue option. The story then sends you back to Ruan and the southern warehouse for a boss fight.
The walkthrough’s tactical recommendations are to prioritize Earth Guard, use Kloe’s Weiss Aura for accuracy and evasion benefits, and avoid triggering all three leaders’ rage states at once. Treat these as guide advice, not guaranteed mechanics: adjust to the skills and combat information shown in your game.

Ruan-region requests and exploration
Resolve the requests in their route order
- Map Mystery: take the coastal-road treasure-map fragment to Jimmy in the chapel.
- Courier Kit: speak with Primo at the casino, buy salted anchovy at Fiore’s bazaar in Manoria, then deliver the items to Vogt at the lighthouse.
- Escorted Exploration: go to Krone Trail, defeat the requested monsters, and walk back to Manoria.
- Chandelier Mystery: examine the lighthouse objects, casino roulette, tow vehicle near the airfield, and orange crane in Ruan’s southern district, then report to Harg.
Quest names and object descriptions above follow a translated walkthrough; check your English quest log for the exact localized wording.
Air Letten and the nearby monster request
The guide recommends unlocking the Azure Tower and Air Letten fast-travel points before working through nearby requests. It also notes a Zeram Powder in a cave on Aina Road. At Air Letten, a diplomacy request awards bonus points for a four-answer sequence, but the available guide gives the intended answers in French; use the meaning of the choices in the English UI rather than translating literally.

The nearby monster group is described as using water arts, summoning reinforcements, and reflecting physical attacks until staggered. The guide recommends Earth Guard and area arts to manage the encounter.

Azure Tower chest route
For the tower, the walkthrough recommends clearing route A on floor 1 to reach two dead ends, returning to floor 1, then taking route B for the remaining chests and the roof. The map contains path geometry that is not recoverable from the text alone, so use the source map for exact turns rather than treating this as a complete floor-by-floor map.
After the tower, the route points back to Ruan and east along the northern road toward Vista Forest Road and the academy.
How to use this route for completion
- Check the Bracer Notebook for requests and story events; use the Book List to confirm acquired Liberl News and novels, and the Recipe Book for meals eaten.
- Do not use those notebook entries as a substitute for checking treasure chests and loose pickups.
- Keep the coastal map fragment, because the later Map Mystery request uses it.
- For every bonus-point dialogue, inspect the actual English answer choices. The route’s dialogue wording was translated from French.
The GameFAQs guide identifies the remake as a 3D release available worldwide on September 19, 2025, for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, and frames its own completion goal around quests, maximum BP, the Bracer Notebook, chests, and boss preparation. The Trails of France guide says some platinum and 100% achievement goals are better suited to New Game+ and recommends three runs, while noting two may be possible with a harder route. That is the guide author’s completion advice, not an official requirement.
