Trait ores and reported effects
The table summarizes the 11 ores named by The Forge Wiki’s trait guide. These are unofficial guide descriptions, not independently verified current-game observations.

A separate unofficial ore database reports specific numbers for these traits, including 15% poison damage for five seconds for Poopite below 35% health, +30% defense/vitality for Obsidian, +20% critical chance for Rivalite, and a 15% chance to fully dodge damage for Darkryte. It also gives values for the other listed ores. Those figures are database snapshots, not confirmed current values, so treat them as leads rather than guaranteed crafting outcomes.
Which traits apply to weapons or armor?
Use the gear category in the table as a starting point when deciding what to forge. The guide places critical chance, poison, burn-on-hit, and explosion traits on weapons; defense, movement speed, dodge, and being burned when hit on armor. Eye Ore is the exception it lists for both. The sources do not establish that these categories or effects are unchanged in the live game.

For offensive builds
Rivalite is the guide’s critical-chance option. Poopite, Fireite, and Magmaite are described as damage-over-time or area-effect options. Their relative strength depends on the current values and how the trait activates, which the references do not settle.
For defensive builds
Obsidian and Mythril are described as defense bonuses, while Darkryte is presented as a chance to avoid damage. Lightite adds movement speed, and Uranium is listed as armor with area damage. Eye Ore has a reported health-for-damage tradeoff, so it is not a straightforward defensive choice.

How much ore is needed for a trait?
The references disagree in how they frame the ore-share requirement. The database says a trait-bearing ore needs to make up at least 10% of the crucible mixture for its trait to activate. Its forging guide distinguishes a 10% “minor” version from a 30% “full” version, while another passage says 30% of total materials is needed for full potential. This may describe a scaled trait, but the sources do not establish a universal current-game rule. Check the current forging interface or test the result rather than relying on 10% or 30% as a guaranteed threshold.
The same forging guide describes base equipment statistics as an average of ore multipliers in the crucible. That is the guide’s explanation, not a verified formula for the current game.

Are these all the trait ores in the current game?
Not established. The trait guide calls its 11-entry list complete, but a separate database documents a broader ore roster, and another reference also lists ores. The available references do not prove that the 11 traits above exhaust the current game’s trait-bearing ores. For an up-to-date roster, confirm against current developer material or the live game.

The database gives numerical trait values, but the sources do not independently verify them against current gameplay. Acquisition figures also conflict. For example, the trait guide lists Darkryte at 1/5,555 from Volcanic Rock, while the database lists 1/6,655; the references also differ on whether Rivalite can come from Volcanic Rock. These are unofficial guide figures, not published statistics with an identified measurement organization or year. Check the current in-game source information before planning around a particular drop rate.
