Once one weapon clears content consistently, use rerolls on that weapon rather than temporary gear. This is conservative guidance from independent community guides, not an official balance ranking, and the live interface should take precedence because exact modifier values and costs are not established in the available documentation.
First, make sure you are playing the right Anime Zero
Several Roblox experiences have used similar anime-themed names. The guides covered here identify the relevant experience as the one made by LY*, with place ID 114574503491412 and universe ID 10512942223. Before following any upgrade advice, check the developer name, title and interface in Roblox. An older or similarly named experience can have completely different traits, enchants, currencies and skill trees.

The recommendation below also assumes the current interface still matches the systems described by the October community guides. Roblox games can change without preserving old prices or effect descriptions, so read the tooltip and confirmation screen you see in your own lobby before committing resources.

Traits and enchants are different upgrade actions
Players and guides sometimes use “trait” and “enchant” as if they were synonyms. In the documented Anime Zero interface they are separate actions with different decisions attached to them:
#1 Best Overall
- Redemption: Online only. Robux cards can only be redeemed in a browser at Roblox.com/redeem. They cannot be redeemed in the Roblox mobile app or any video game console.
- Roblox is an immersive platform for connection and communication. Every day, millions of people come to Roblox to create, play, work, learn, and connect with each other in experiences built by our global community of creators.
- Get more with every Roblox Gift Card! From now on, when you redeem a Roblox gift card, you get up to 25% more Robux. Perfect for gaming, creating, and exploring- more Robux means more possibilities!
- Deck out your avatar and unlock additional perks in your favorite experiences when you use Roblox Gift Cards to purchase Robux (Roblox's virtual currency).
- Each gift card grants a free virtual item upon redemption.
| System | Where it is used | What you are changing | Best early use | Main risk or limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Traits | Trait interface | A modifier on a weapon, changed through a reroll | Save rerolls for a weapon you expect to keep | A reroll can replace the selected weapon’s current modifier; the exact pool, values and costs are not established here |
| Weapon enchants | Enchant area in the lobby | A rolled enchant applied through the enchant interaction | Obtain an adequate early damage result, described by the guide as Power | Chasing a named late-game result early can consume resources without improving immediate clears; current costs and effect values are not published in the reviewed guides |
| Skill tree | Skill-tree menu | A character or build upgrade, including damage, critical chance, defense and movement-related choices | Take the available damage node first when it directly improves reliable clears | Points are a build commitment; the best branch depends on whether you die to bosses or simply lack damage |
Think of the distinction this way: an enchant is a rolled weapon modifier obtained in the lobby, while a trait reroll is a targeted decision about the weapon currently selected in the trait interface. A skill-tree point is a separate, persistent build choice. Comparing them as identical “stats” leads to bad spending decisions.
The recommended early-game order
Use this order unless your current run has an unusually clear problem, such as surviving every encounter but failing a damage check or dying to one boss attack.
- Take the accessible damage skill-tree upgrade. The skill guide’s early recommendation is to prioritize damage. A direct damage node improves every fight rather than only the weapon receiving a roll.
- Roll a useful damage enchant. The enchant guide names Power as the practical early damage pick. Stop once the result is adequate for your current Story progression instead of spending for a perfect late-game combination.
- Choose one reliable weapon as your investment target. Anime Zero allows two weapon slots, but early resources go further when concentrated on the weapon that performs consistently. You can keep a second weapon equipped for flexibility without splitting every upgrade between both.
- Spend trait rerolls only on that keep weapon. Confirm the selected weapon in the trait interface, then reroll selectively. Temporary gear is a poor target for expensive or scarce attempts.
- Add critical chance after your build is stable. Critical chance is a damage-oriented follow-up when you can survive normal rooms and boss mechanics. It is not a substitute for fixing deaths that happen before your damage can matter.
- Use defense when survival is the bottleneck. If boss hits, repeated mistakes or unavoidable damage end runs, a defensive skill-tree choice usually creates more progress than another offensive roll.
- Chase specialized or named late-game enchants later. The community recommendation separates first Story clears from Nightmare and endgame farming. Delay perfection until the content you are farming can fund it.
Why damage comes before reroll perfection
Early progress is constrained by clear speed and by the number of attempts you can make, not by whether a temporary weapon has an ideal modifier. A damage node and an adequate Power enchant address the immediate problem: killing ordinary enemies and bosses reliably enough to unlock more content. A perfect trait on a weapon you will replace does not.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThis ordering does not claim that damage is mathematically superior in every patch. The available guides do not publish a developer-authored ranking, complete trait table or verified probabilities. It is a resource-preservation rule: buy the improvement that helps the most fights now, then optimize the item that has earned a permanent place in your loadout.
How to choose the weapon that deserves upgrades
Test consistency, not a single high roll
Use the weapon that clears ordinary rooms without relying on an unusually favorable critical streak. A weapon that is slightly slower in a best-case attack but dependable across several rooms is a safer reroll target than one that occasionally produces a spectacular number and otherwise stalls.

- Can it clear the content you are farming without repeated retries?
- Does its range or attack pattern let you damage enemies while avoiding avoidable hits?
- Does it remain useful against the boss at the end of the current activity?
- Are you likely to replace it as soon as the next Story or Nightmare reward appears?
The last question matters most. If replacement is imminent, put resources into the skill tree or a modest enchant rather than locking scarce trait rerolls into that weapon.
Use the second slot for flexibility
The separate trait guidance describes two weapon slots. Equip both if doing so helps you handle different rooms or attack patterns, but do not assume both deserve equal investment. Keep the dependable weapon as the primary project and let the second slot remain functional until you have surplus resources or a clear role for it.

How to roll an early enchant without wasting resources
- Return to the lobby enchant area. The guides describe enchants as being rolled through that lobby interaction, not through the trait screen.
- Inspect the current roll and its wording. Read the effect shown by the live game. Do not import a percentage or tier from an old guide; the reviewed sources specifically do not establish exact current enchant values or costs.
- Prioritize a damage result for early Story progression. The community enchant guide calls Power the early damage choice. The goal is an improvement that helps clear the content you are actually playing, not a theoretical endgame combination.
- Set a stop point. Once the enchant is good enough to clear your current activity consistently, keep the resource for a weapon you will retain, a skill-tree point or later farming.
- Revisit the enchant when your progression stage changes. Nightmare and endgame farming can justify more specialized rolls. Until then, an adequate result has better practical value than repeated attempts at perfection.
If the current UI presents an effect, price or roll rule that differs from a community guide, follow the UI. The guides are recommendations, not a guarantee that every patch uses the same pool or currency.
How to use trait rerolls safely
Confirm the target before pressing reroll
The October 5 trait guide says a reroll affects the currently equipped weapon. Treat that as a safety check, not a reason to click quickly. Equip the intended weapon, open the trait interface, verify its name or icon, and only then spend the reroll. If the interface offers a preview, lock or confirmation step, read it; if it does not, assume the action is immediate.
Save rerolls for gear you intend to keep
A trait is attached to the weapon decision. Rerolling a starter weapon immediately before replacing it creates no lasting advantage. Wait until your weapon has proven useful through the next progression milestone, then invest when the expected time in your loadout is long enough to justify the cost.

Use auto-reroll and pity features deliberately
The current guide mentions an auto-reroll option and a trait-pity interface. These features can reduce manual clicking, but they do not remove the need to verify the target and the stopping condition. Before enabling auto-reroll:
- Check which weapon is selected or equipped.
- Read what result the system is configured to keep or discard.
- Decide the maximum number of attempts or the resource limit you will tolerate.
- Confirm whether pity progress is tied to the weapon, the account, the interface or the current event; the reviewed guides do not establish that detail.
Stop when the trait supports your actual build. A farming or utility trait may be sensible for a room-clearing weapon but less useful on a boss-focused weapon; there is no universal “best” trait established by the available evidence.
When critical chance, defense or movement speed should come next
| Your current problem | Next priority | Reason | What to avoid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enemies survive long enough to overwhelm you, but you rarely die to a single hit | Damage node, then an adequate Power enchant | More reliable damage shortens every encounter | Spending rerolls on a weapon you are about to replace |
| You clear normal rooms comfortably and survive bosses | Critical chance | It adds offensive upside after the basic survival floor is met | Assuming a crit-focused choice fixes a weapon with poor base consistency |
| A boss hit or repeated mistakes ends the run | Defense | Survival creates more attempts and lets existing damage work | Continuing to chase damage while failing the same mechanic |
| Positioning or room traversal is the main slowdown | Movement speed, if available in your current tree | Mobility can improve positioning and room clears | Choosing it automatically when the real issue is boss damage |
| You are farming late-game content with a settled weapon | Specialized traits or named enchants, according to the live pool | Optimization has a longer payoff once the weapon is stable | Applying endgame standards to a first-Story weapon |
Critical chance is therefore a conditional second step, not the universal first purchase. Defense is an offensive decision in disguise when survival is preventing you from finishing a stage: a build that remains alive gets more attacks, more rewards and more chances to improve.
Decision guide by progression stage
Starting Story runs
Use the first available damage skill-tree node and seek a useful Power enchant. Keep both weapon slots available if they help you adapt, but concentrate spending on the weapon that clears reliably. Do not use a limited reroll budget to perfect a starter weapon before you know what replaces it.
First reliable clears
Once ordinary rooms and the current boss are no longer stopping progress, evaluate whether the weapon is a keeper. If it is, begin selective trait rerolls and consider critical chance. If it is not, preserve the rerolls and continue using broad damage improvements while you search for a better long-term weapon.

Nightmare transition
Nightmare content raises the value of a coherent build. Recheck every tooltip because the guides do not establish that effect values, costs or pools remain unchanged. A defensive point can be superior to another offensive roll if the new content kills you before your weapon’s damage matters.
Endgame farming
Only after your weapon, survivability and farming route are settled should you pursue named or highly specialized enchants. At this stage, auto-reroll or pity mechanics may be convenient, but set a resource ceiling and verify exactly what the live interface will keep. The early-game “good enough” stopping rule no longer has to be your final build, but it remains the reason you reached endgame without exhausting your resources.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Common mistakes and how to recover
Rerolling the wrong weapon
Symptom: the result changes on a weapon you did not mean to upgrade. Recovery: stop further rolls, equip the intended weapon, reopen the trait interface and confirm its identity before continuing. The documented behavior is tied to the currently equipped weapon, so treating the interface as a global inventory reroll is unsafe.
Splitting every resource between two weapons
Symptom: both weapons are mediocre and neither clears a difficult room comfortably. Recovery: designate one reliable weapon as the primary project. Leave the second slot usable, but direct new skill, enchant and trait spending toward the primary until it meets the next progression check.
Chasing a perfect early enchant
Symptom: repeated rolls consume resources while Story progress remains unchanged. Recovery: accept an adequate Power-oriented result, invest in the damage node if it is still available, and reserve future rolls for a weapon you will keep or for late-game farming.

Copying an old percentage or price
Symptom: a guide’s number does not match the tooltip or currency requirement in your game. Recovery: trust the current in-game description and treat the older number as historical, not authoritative. The reviewed guides do not provide verified current values for all traits and enchants.
Taking offense when the real problem is survival
Symptom: damage looks strong in short encounters, but a boss repeatedly ends the run. Recovery: choose defense, improve positioning or use movement speed where it addresses the failure. Return to critical chance after you can complete the encounter consistently.
A practical spending checklist
- Verify the Roblox experience is the LY* game identified by place ID 114574503491412 and universe ID 10512942223.
- Read the current skill-tree, enchant and trait tooltips rather than relying on an old value.
- Take the available damage skill node before expensive optimization.
- Roll for a useful early damage enchant, described by the guide as Power.
- Keep two weapons equipped only if the second has a real tactical role; focus investment on the reliable one.
- Equip and verify the intended weapon before every trait reroll.
- Set an auto-reroll limit and understand what the pity interface counts before enabling automation.
- Choose critical chance when survival is already comfortable.
- Choose defense when boss damage or repeated errors prevent clears.
- Delay named late-game enchant chasing until Nightmare or endgame farming can support it.
What is and is not established about the “best” upgrade
There is no developer-published ranking in the available material that proves one trait, enchant or skill node is always best. Independent fan guides agree on the conservative sequence—damage first, preserve rerolls for a keeper weapon, then adjust toward critical chance or defense based on the failure you are seeing—but they do not establish a complete current modifier table, probabilities or costs. Two October guides also differ in how confidently they describe the current trait system.
That uncertainty does not make the decision arbitrary. It tells you which facts to verify in the live game and which principles are safe to carry across patches: spend early resources on reliable progression, avoid perfecting temporary equipment, confirm the equipped weapon before a reroll, and let your deaths or clear times determine whether the next point is offensive or defensive.
Bottom line for a new build
Start with the damage skill-tree node and an adequate Power-oriented enchant. Put both weapon slots to work if useful, but make one reliable weapon your investment target. Reroll its trait only after you intend to keep it and have verified the selected weapon in the interface. Add critical chance once the build survives comfortably; switch to defense when bosses are the reason runs fail. Save expensive, named enchant chasing for Nightmare or endgame farming, and use the current in-game UI for every value the community guides do not verify.
