Players move a game piece through arm movement or control of the contest, then press a button to rotate it. Reports from April 2008 describe the concept, but do not establish that a Tresling controller is currently sold.
What is Tresling?
Tresling joins two very different competitions: arranging falling Tetris pieces and trying to gain control in an arm-wrestling contest. TechCrunch described it as a combination of Tetris and arm wrestling in its April 19, 2008 report. Gizmodo’s April 15, 2008 report described play on an arm-wrestling board, with pieces shifting according to which player had control.
How does the arm-wrestling game controller work?
The physical contest affects movement in the puzzle: arm movement or control moves the piece, while a button rotates it. The two 2008 reports describe the movement interaction in different terms, so they do not establish a specific sensor, electronics design, or precise mapping between arm position and on-screen movement.
That makes the contest more than a theme. Players must contend with the opponent while also considering where the Tetris piece needs to go. The available descriptions do not specify scoring, match length, exact hardware, or a complete set of rules.
