The 60-second answer
ts3client_win64.dll is a 64-bit TeamSpeak 3 client library used by TeamSpeak integrations and applications built with the TeamSpeak SDK. It is not a Windows component, Microsoft runtime, or general-purpose DLL.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe safest fix is to repair or reinstall the application that displayed the error. That might be TeamSpeak 3, a game, a Unity application, a bot, a plugin, or custom software using TeamSpeak voice features. Installing the ordinary TeamSpeak desktop client will not necessarily repair an SDK-based application.

Do not download this DLL from a random DLL website or copy it into C:WindowsSystem32. Restore the matching file from the parent application’s official installer or SDK package instead.
What causes this error
The filename alone cannot identify the application that installed it. Common causes include:
- An incomplete installation or failed update
- A game or launcher removing a file during repair
- Antivirus quarantine
- A 32-bit and 64-bit mismatch
- A library copied from the wrong TeamSpeak SDK release
- A missing Visual C++ or other native dependency
- A damaged plugin or integration
- A corrupted application directory
- A damaged Windows component, which is less likely
The wording “specified module could not be found” needs special attention. Windows may be unable to find ts3client_win64.dll, or it may have found that file but be unable to load one of its dependencies.
Recommended Free Tools
1. Identify the program requesting the DLL
Before replacing anything, find the application that triggers the message.
- Write down the exact program name shown in the error window.
- Note whether it is TeamSpeak 3, a game, a launcher, a bot, a plugin host, or a Unity-based application.
- Right-click the program’s shortcut and select Properties.
- Open the Shortcut tab and check Target.
- Select Open File Location if that button is available.
- Look in the folder containing the executable for
ts3client_win64.dll.
If the error appears while launching a game, the game owns the file even if TeamSpeak is also installed. If it appears after launching a bot or plugin, repair that integration rather than replacing files in the TeamSpeak desktop folder.
Check the error again after restarting Windows. If only one Windows user account experiences the problem, test the application from another account. A damaged per-user configuration or plugin can produce an error that does not affect other profiles.
2. Repair or reinstall the parent application
This is the most likely solution.
Use the application’s repair option
Check the application’s launcher first:
- Open the game or application’s launcher.
- Select the affected title.
- Open its menu, settings, or manage screen.
- Choose Verify, Verify integrity, Repair, or a similarly named option.
- Allow the scan and replacement process to finish.
- Restart Windows and launch the application again.
Use the same process for a TeamSpeak integration supplied by a game or plugin. The launcher may restore the correct library version and its supporting files together.
Reinstall from the official source
If repair is unavailable:
- Close the affected application.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager.
- Select the application, launcher, TeamSpeak process, or related plugin process.
- Select End task for any process that is still running.
- Open Settings with Windows+i.
- Select Apps → Installed apps.
- Find the application and select Uninstall.
- Restart Windows.
- Download the matching installer from the application’s developer or official TeamSpeak download page.
- Install the correct Windows build.
- Start the program and check whether the error is gone.
For TeamSpeak itself, use the official Windows 64-bit TeamSpeak 3 installer. For an SDK application, reinstall that application or its TeamSpeak integration instead. Do not assume the desktop client contains the exact SDK library required by another program.
If the installer offers a choice between keeping settings and removing all data, preserve settings first unless you suspect corrupted plugins or configuration files. If reinstalling with settings preserved fails, repeat the process after backing up any needed configuration and removing the application’s remaining installation folder.

3. Match the architecture and SDK version
The win64 suffix indicates a 64-bit Windows library. The requesting program must also be compatible with 64-bit native libraries.
Check the application’s executable:
- Start the program if possible.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
- Open the Details tab in Task Manager.
- Right-click a column heading and select Select columns.
- Enable Platform if your Windows version provides that column.
- Check whether the application is listed as 32-bit or 64-bit.
You can also check the application’s documentation or installer. A 32-bit host cannot use the 64-bit ts3client_win64.dll. Installing a 32-bit TeamSpeak library beside a 64-bit program is not a valid substitute either.
SDK version matching matters as well. A program compiled against one TeamSpeak SDK release may require the native library shipped with that release. Do not replace its file with a library copied from another TeamSpeak installation, SDK archive, game, or plugin.
For an SDK-based application, inspect its own documentation for the expected native-library location. The file normally belongs beside the executable or wrapper assembly that loads it, not in a Windows system directory.
4. Check Windows Security quarantine
Antivirus software may remove or quarantine a native library after an update or scan.
- Open Start and search for Windows Security.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Look for an event involving
ts3client_win64.dllor the parent application. - Check the detected file path and the action taken.
Restore the file only when all of the following are true:
- It came from the verified official installer or SDK package.
- The file path belongs to the application you identified.
- You understand the detection and trust the source.
- The application developer confirms the file is legitimate, if the detection remains unclear.
A safer alternative is to uninstall the affected application and reinstall it from its official source. Do not permanently disable antivirus protection or create a broad exclusion for System32.
If the file repeatedly disappears after reinstalling, leave it quarantined and submit the detection to the security vendor or application developer. The filename by itself does not prove that a file is safe or malicious.
5. Repair Visual C++ and other dependencies
A message naming ts3client_win64.dll can actually mean that Windows cannot load a dependency required by that library. The missing component may be Visual C++, Qt, an audio backend, or another native file supplied by the parent application.

Start with the runtime named in the application’s documentation or installer. Microsoft provides separate x64 and x86 Visual C++ Redistributable packages. Install the architecture required by the application. Install both only when you use applications that require both architectures.

- Open Microsoft’s Latest Supported Visual C++ Redistributable page.
- Download the required Microsoft installer.
- Run it as administrator.
- Choose Repair if the runtime is already installed.
- Restart Windows.
- Launch the affected program again.
If the application has its own Redist, Prerequisites, or Support folder, use the runtime installer supplied there when the vendor specifically requires it.
If you see “not designed to run on Windows,” do not assume Visual C++ is the only issue. That message can indicate corruption, a wrong architecture, an incompatible build, or a file that did not come from the expected package.
6. Update or reinstall related drivers
Drivers are not the usual cause of a missing TeamSpeak client library, but an SDK application can also depend on audio, graphics, or capture components. Repair these only when the application’s logs or symptoms point to a device problem.
To update a device through Windows:
- Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click the affected audio device.
- Select Update driver → Search automatically for drivers.
- Repeat for relevant graphics or capture devices.
- Restart Windows.
For a clean vendor update, download the driver from the computer, motherboard, audio, or graphics manufacturer’s official support page. Do not use a driver package intended for a different device or architecture.

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchWhen several devices are outdated, manually hunting through hardware pages and matching model numbers can be time-consuming. Outbyte Driver Updater can scan and show what needs attention; its free scan identifies issues, while driver installation is handled by the full version. Reinstalling the application that owns ts3client_win64.dll remains the definitive fix when that application is missing its library.
7. Repair Windows components only after app repair
Because ts3client_win64.dll is third-party software, System File Checker will not restore that specific file. Windows repair is a secondary step for a damaged loader environment or corrupted protected components.
- Open Start and type
Command Prompt. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Run this command:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for it to complete.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow
- Restart Windows and test the application.
DISM repairs the Windows component store, and SFC checks protected Windows files. Neither command replaces a missing SDK file from an application’s installation folder.
Repeating these commands without knowing what changed can make troubleshooting slow. Outbyte PC Repair can scan for Windows problems and show what needs attention; its free scan identifies issues, while repair is handled by the full version. For this file, repairing or reinstalling the owning application is still the definitive solution.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Do not use regsvr32 for this file
regsvr32 is for DLLs that expose registration entry points such as DllRegisterServer. A TeamSpeak client library is loaded by its application and is not normally registered globally.
Running this command is therefore not a repair:
regsvr32 ts3client_win64.dll
It may return “DllRegisterServer was not found,” and it will not restore a missing dependency. Do not copy the file into C:WindowsSystem32 or C:WindowsSysWOW64. That can create version conflicts and DLL-loading security problems.

Manual copying is appropriate only when the application’s official SDK instructions explicitly require deployment beside the executable. In that case, use the file from the same trusted package and match its architecture and SDK release.
If the error remains
Collect these details before contacting the application developer:
- The exact error text
- The executable path shown in the shortcut
- Whether the application is 32-bit or 64-bit
- The installation source and release
- Windows Security quarantine history
- The application’s launcher or crash log
- The result of the repair or reinstall
- Whether the file exists beside the requesting executable
You can also check Event Viewer:
- Press Windows+R.
- Type
eventvwr.mscand press Enter. - Open Windows Logs → Application.
- Look for an error at the time of the failed launch.
- Check whether another DLL, runtime, or executable is named.
If the failure began immediately after a system or software change and no clean installer is available, System Restore is a last resort. Otherwise, use the application’s official support channel with the executable path and logs.
FAQ
Is ts3client_win64.dll a Windows file?
No. It is a 64-bit TeamSpeak client library used by TeamSpeak-related applications and SDK integrations.
Should I install TeamSpeak 3 to fix it?
Only if TeamSpeak 3 itself displays the error. A game, bot, plugin, or Unity application may require its own SDK library and version.
Can I download the DLL by itself?
Avoid that. A standalone download may contain the wrong architecture or SDK version, may be modified, and often leaves the actual missing dependency or broken installation unresolved.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Where should the file be located?
Usually beside the executable or wrapper that loads it, according to the application’s packaging. It should not be placed in System32 or SysWOW64.
Does sfc /scannow restore this file?
No. SFC repairs protected Windows files. Reinstall the application or SDK package that supplied ts3client_win64.dll.
Why does Windows say a module could not be found when the file exists?
One of the DLL’s own dependencies may be missing, incompatible, quarantined, or corrupted. Check the parent application’s runtime requirements and logs rather than replacing the named file repeatedly.
