The biggest discount was a $24.99 Woot price for the wired Recon Controller, described at the time as 58% off; HotHardware also reported it at $39.90 on Amazon. Those are historical prices, so check the live listing, stock, condition and shipping before buying.
What the 58% Turtle Beach deal actually was
HotHardware’s June 23, 2025 roundup placed the 58% discount on Turtle Beach’s wired Recon Controller at Woot for $24.99. The article gave Amazon’s contemporaneous price as $39.90, but neither figure establishes today’s price or availability. The roundup was published ahead of Prime Day 2025, which it said would begin July 8 that year; that event date is also historical. HotHardware’s original June 2025 roundup
The discount percentages were promotional figures reported in that article, not independently verified savings against current market prices. Treat them as a record of the sale, not a promise about a present-day listing.

Its product page describes the model and controls: Turtle Beach Recon Controller product page. Woot’s listing identifies the controller as wired and compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PCs: Woot Recon Controller listing.
HotHardware quoted Turtle Beach’s promotional claim: “Unlike any other controller available, plug in a 3.5mm headset and instantly upgrade your audio with proven Turtle Beach features like Superhuman Hearing, Mic Monitoring, Signature Audio Presets and more.” This is marketing language attributed to Turtle Beach, not an independent comparative test.

How to judge a Turtle Beach listing now
Because the old sale cannot confirm what is available now, evaluate the current listing against your setup and the full checkout cost:
- Match the platform. Check the exact console or PC compatibility and variant in the seller’s current listing. The Recon described here is for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PCs.
- Choose the connection you need. The Recon is wired; the roundup’s Stealth headsets and several controllers are wireless. Confirm the specific model and connection type rather than relying on a family name.
- Check the feature that matters. For Recon’s listed audio controls, you need a wired 3.5 mm headset connected to it. For other products, confirm their current specifications against your intended use.
- Compare total cost and terms. Review current price, stock, item condition, shipping and warranty or return terms before deciding whether an offer is worthwhile.
The Recon is distinct from Turtle Beach’s Rematch Core, another wired controller licensed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PCs, announced in the company’s 2025 portfolio. The shared wired Xbox/Windows positioning does not make the models interchangeable; compare their exact features and SKU. Turtle Beach’s 2025 gaming peripherals announcement
