Toei Animation selected Twin Atlas to develop Hypergalactic: Monkey Quest, the core Roblox experience for its film property Hypergalactic. Spaceport supported the licensing and connected-game model: Monkey Quest was designed as a central hub linking players to other licensed Roblox experiences.
Who is making the Hypergalactic Roblox game?
Toei Animation chose Twin Atlas to build the core experience, Spaceport announced on September 5, 2024. Spaceport was involved in licensing and the plan to connect the central game with additional Hypergalactic experiences. The sources identify Twin Atlas as the core game’s developer; they do not establish competing candidates.
What is Hypergalactic: Monkey Quest?
Hypergalactic: Monkey Quest is a licensed Roblox adventure set in the world of Toei’s film property, rather than a standalone game or a replacement for the film. Toei described the experience as recreating characters and the film’s world when it announced the Roblox launch in November 2024.
The Roblox listing, checked October 8, 2026, credits the creator as Toei Animation x Twin Atlas. Its description features Mini-Might pets, sledding challenges and battles with Xenon. The story introduces Okon, an ancient Earth’s Sentinel who leaves his post to seek adventure. After he is imprisoned, he sends out tiny clones called Mini-Mights with the plea “FREE ME!!”

How the connected Roblox games were meant to work
Monkey Quest was presented as a gateway to a broader set of licensed Hypergalactic Roblox experiences. At launch, Toei said seven outside studios had signed up to make additional games. Spaceport’s November 8, 2024 launch announcement also described Monkey Quest alongside seven supporting games.
That distinction matters: Twin Atlas developed the central hub, while other studios were associated with the additional experiences. The announcements describe the plan and launch context in 2024; they do not establish that every announced game remains active today.

What is confirmed about the launch and film?
Toei said Monkey Quest had formally launched on Roblox in November 2024, ahead of the film. That announcement described the film as in production at the time. The available announcements do not verify the film’s current release schedule, so the 2024 timing should not be treated as a present-day date.
Toei’s 2024 release also cited Roblox at approximately 90 million daily active users globally. That is a figure Toei reported in its announcement, not a current user count; the release did not specify the measurement date or methodology.
