Twin Blades, also called Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard, is a medieval zombie action game starring a nun who fights the undead with melee and ranged weapons. Press Start Studio developed it, and historical coverage lists releases across mobile, console, PC, and PSP Minis. Whether any version can still be purchased or downloaded today is not established by the available sources.
What is Twin Blades?
Twin Blades is a side-view action game set in a medieval world overrun by zombies. The player controls a weapon-wielding nun through settings including a ruined chapel, a city market, a cemetery, and the outskirts of a city. Its combat combines melee attacks and ranged weapons, with skills and upgrades to unlock. Pocket Gamer’s 2011 interview and 2010 PSP Minis announcement describe the game and its releases.
Use the subtitle The Reaping Vanguard when identifying it: other games have similar names, including Twin Blades of the Three Kingdoms and Twin Blades’ Vengeance.
What did the PSP Minis version include?
Pocket Gamer’s November 2010 announcement described ten day-and-night locations, bosses, skill upgrades, and weapons ranging from machine guns to explosives. In a January 2011 interview, Press Start Studio co-founder Philippe Rapin said the PSP Minis version included content released as downloadable content on other platforms, including additional levels, enemies, and bosses. The interview did not give a verified total number of DLC packs.

Who made it, and which platforms received it?
Press Start Studio developed Twin Blades. Bulkypix was identified as publisher in Pocket Gamer’s 2010 PSP Minis announcement; Sanuk Games collaborated on the PSP Minis port. In the 2011 interview, Rapin listed releases on iPhone, iPad, Xbox 360, Bada, Windows Phone 7, and PC, and explained the studio’s aim: “Because we could, as a game developer our primary objective is to bring our games to as many people as possible.”
The historical coverage also announced versions for PSP and PlayStation 3 through the Minis program. These platform references describe releases reported at the time, not present-day storefront listings or compatibility.

Can you still play Twin Blades?
Current purchase and download availability is unresolved. The available historical sources do not confirm whether any version can be obtained today.
Windows Central reported in March 2012 that the Windows Phone, Xbox 360, and iOS versions had again disappeared from their marketplaces. Its account says the Windows Phone version had earlier been removed over violent content, then returned with green blood before being removed again. That report establishes removals at that time; it does not establish the current status of every platform.
