To solve the Twin Memories shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, copy each shrine’s original five-orb pattern into the other shrine. Shee Vaneer is on Dueling Peaks’ southern summit; Shee Venath is on its northern summit. Record both layouts before moving any orbs.
What the Twin Memories clue means
The inscription at the entrances says the shrines’ “memory” is the answer to the other shrine’s question. In practice, each starting orb layout is the solution to its partner’s grid. The patterns below are written from the row nearest the gate toward the observation platform, with each number marking the occupied column.
Record the two starting patterns
Ride the moving platform to view the five-by-five grid from above. Face it with the gate at the top and the observation platform at the bottom, then note the occupied column in each row before touching an orb.
| Shrine | Location | Starting pattern, gate to platform | Enter this pattern at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shee Vaneer | Southern peak of Dueling Peaks | 5, 1, 2, 4, 2 | Shee Venath |
| Shee Venath | Northern peak of Dueling Peaks | 2, 4, 1, 3, 5 | Shee Vaneer |
Enter the solutions
- At Shee Vaneer: arrange the five orbs in columns 2, 4, 1, 3, 5 from the gate-side row toward the platform-side row. This copies Shee Venath’s original pattern.
- At Shee Venath: arrange the orbs in columns 5, 1, 2, 4, 2 from the gate-side row toward the platform-side row. This copies Shee Vaneer’s original pattern.
Use the rising platform to check row orientation if needed. Entering a pattern incorrectly leaves the gate closed. According to the Nintendo Life walkthrough, leaving and re-entering the shrine resets the orbs so you can try again.
