The listings are described as “Gaming Console/Peripherals” and reportedly reference Android 15, but they do not confirm that either device is a PlayStation Portal—or that one has an OLED screen. The second product’s identity is unknown.
What the reported leak says
A report by The Verge, reproduced by Wilson’s Media on October 6, 2026, says Wi-Fi Alliance records list two PlayStation-related model numbers: CFI-Y2000 and CFI-Y2105. The report describes their category as “Gaming Console/Peripherals” and says Android 15 is listed. The certification records were not independently verified in the cited coverage, so these details should be treated as reported filing information—not a Sony announcement.
Sony had not immediately commented when the report was published. It reproduced a Sony statement from June: “Cloud streaming also requires minimal memory, making it an increasingly attractive low-cost thin client device in the current market environment where memory prices are rising.” The statement provides context for Sony’s interest in streaming devices, but does not identify either model.
Is Sony making a PlayStation Portal OLED?
A Portal revision is plausible, but unconfirmed. The OLED possibility comes from an earlier hardware-leaker rumor cited in the report; the Wi-Fi Alliance details do not establish the device’s display technology or even that it is a Portal. No final specifications have been disclosed.
#1 Best Overall

Sony’s current PlayStation Portal Remote Player has an 8-inch LCD with a 1080p display. Those are specifications for the existing model, not evidence about CFI-Y2000 or CFI-Y2105.
What is the second mystery PlayStation product?
It has not been identified in the cited report. The filing descriptions and Android reference are not enough to determine what either product is, so there is no reliable basis to call the second entry a headset, handheld, or another specific device. The report also provides no price, release date, or detailed specifications for either model.
How the current Portal works
The existing Portal streams compatible games installed on a PS5 over Wi-Fi. Sony also offers cloud streaming for select games to eligible users with PlayStation Plus Premium; availability depends on region, title, and account eligibility.

If you want a Portal now, the model currently listed by PlayStation Direct is the LCD version; its box includes the Portal, a USB cable, and a user manual. There is no confirmed new model to compare with it.
If OLED is essential to your decision, waiting for an official announcement avoids buying on the assumption that the rumor is true. If you want the existing Portal’s PS5 streaming and eligible cloud-streaming features now, assess that LCD model on its own merits. The leaked entries establish no launch timeline, so they do not indicate how long a wait might be.
