However, Epic’s catalog results show paid listings for both games, so check the live store page for your region before counting on a free claim.
Are the Styx games free on Epic this week?
A weekly free-games listing from TechWiser reports that both titles are available to claim at no cost during the October 8–15 window. Epic’s surfaced catalog listings instead show each game at $19.99, and do not confirm the promotion. The offer is therefore not independently confirmed by the official catalog results available here.

TechWiser reports an end time of October 15, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. PT. That timing comes from the secondary listing, not an official promotion notice, so the regional store page is the best place to verify the deadline.

- Sign in to your Epic Games Store account.
- Open the store pages for Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness.
- Confirm that the page shows a free offer for your region, then complete the claim before the deadline displayed there.

What is Styx: Master of Shadows?
Epic describes Styx: Master of Shadows as a single-player infiltration game with RPG elements, set in a dark fantasy world. You play as Styx, a goblin whose abilities include invisibility, amber vision, and cloning. Epic lists Cyanide Studio as developer, Nacon as publisher, and October 7, 2014, as the release date.
