Ubisoft later confirmed the remake as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, released July 9, 2026, and lists it as available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The update also described the status of Shadows, Codename Hexe, Codename Invictus, and other projects—but did not give those upcoming projects firm release dates.
Did Ubisoft confirm the Black Flag remake?
Yes. In its “Assassin’s Creed: Into 2026” franchise update, Ubisoft hinted at the project with the line, “Keep your spyglass on the horizon.” That post did not give the remake a full title or release date. Later Ubisoft pages identified it as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake based on the 2013 game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
