The “four more Assassin’s Creed games” claim refers to a February 2023 report about three early-stage pitches—Nebula, Raid and Echoes—and discussion of a possible Assassin’s Creed Nexus sequel. It was not an announcement of four products. In Ubisoft’s March 4, 2026 franchise update, the publisher discussed Hexe, Invictus and Jade, but did not confirm those four reported project names or say whether they remain active.
What did the “four more Assassin’s Creed games” report actually say?
On February 26, 2023, Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson reported that Ubisoft had three additional Assassin’s Creed projects in conceptual or prototype stages, alongside discussion of a second VR game after Assassin’s Creed Nexus. The outlet attributed the information to unnamed sources. Ubisoft’s cited March 2026 update does not confirm the three pitches or a Nexus sequel by name.
The number “four” is therefore shorthand for three reported pitches plus a possible VR sequel under discussion—not four newly announced games. The report distinguished these early concepts from projects Ubisoft had publicly announced at the time. Insider Gaming’s February 2023 report
What were Nebula, Raid and Echoes?
Insider Gaming described all three as pitches in early development, not finished games with confirmed release plans. Its descriptions, studios and formats should be read as claims attributed to the report’s sources.

Which Assassin’s Creed projects has Ubisoft discussed officially since then?
Ubisoft’s March 4, 2026 update, “Assassin’s Creed: Into 2026,” describes several projects, but offers limited detail and no release dates.
Hexe
Ubisoft says Hexe is being built by a veteran Ubisoft Montreal team as a darker, narrative-driven experience set during a pivotal historical moment. The company said it is taking time to fulfill the project’s vision and expects to remain quiet longer.

Invictus
Ubisoft describes Invictus as a PvP multiplayer Assassin’s Creed experience led by For Honor veterans at Ubisoft Montreal. It says the project is progressing through a test-and-learn approach and notes that the game is not quite what rumors had suggested.
Jade and a possible return of co-op
The update lists Jade among other projects at different development stages and says Ubisoft is looking into bringing co-op back. It also mentions a recent pivot away from an early project without naming it. That statement does not establish that the unnamed project was Raid—or that any of the 2023 pitches were cancelled, renamed or continued.

Are the four reported projects still planned?
The cited official update does not answer that question for Nebula, Raid, Echoes or Nexus 2. It neither confirms that they remain active nor announces their cancellation or renaming. Treat their status as unresolved unless Ubisoft provides direct confirmation.
The 2023 article also forecast a return to annual releases and gave tentative timing for some announced games, while cautioning that dates could change. Those were dated projections, not a dependable current roadmap. Ubisoft’s March 2026 update provides no release dates for the projects it discusses, so the old timing should not be used as current scheduling information.
