UFC women’s strawweight has a 115 lb championship limit; women’s flyweight has a 125 lb limit. That makes flyweight 10 lb higher. For non-title bouts, UFC’s stated one-pound allowance raises the weigh-in ceilings to 116 lb and 126 lb, respectively. Title bouts require fighters to make the division’s exact limit.
What are the UFC women’s strawweight and flyweight limits?

UFC’s May 28, 2024 weight-class explainer describes weigh-ins as taking place the day before competition and specifies a one-pound allowance for non-title bouts. It says title fights require athletes to make the exact championship weight. UFC’s Introduction to MMA also lists women’s strawweight at 115 lb and women’s flyweight at 125 lb.

These are UFC’s stated rules. For a particular bout, the relevant athletic commission and event rules may also matter.
How far apart are the divisions?
The championship limits are 10 lb apart: 115 lb at strawweight and 125 lb at flyweight. The one-pound allowance applies only to non-title weigh-ins, so it does not change the divisions’ championship limits or permit a title-fight weigh-in above the limit.

Does weighing above the limit change a fighter’s division?
No. A weigh-in allowance is a bout rule, not a new division limit. A fighter’s result above the championship limit does not redefine the weight class; consequences depend on the bout circumstances and applicable event rules.
What do the class names say about fighting style?
The categories establish weight limits, not guaranteed differences in reach, strength, speed, skill, or fighting style. Those qualities vary by athlete, and the class limits alone do not support a universal comparison.

In its March 27, 2026 UFC Seattle weigh-in report, UFC listed a women’s flyweight bout between Alexa Grasso (126 lb) and Maycee Barber (125 lb), and a women’s strawweight bout between Alexia Thainara (115 lb) and Bruna Brasil (115 lb). The report illustrates bout labels and individual weigh-in results; it does not replace the general limit and allowance rules.
