Where to find Flameruff the Mighty
Region and landmarks
Travel to Beast Fang Ridge and search the withered-forest section east of Alpha Scorchhowl’s territory. Some item text uses Thousand-Fang Ridge for the broader area, so either name may appear in descriptions or player directions. The target is not an ordinary Flameruff wandering through the region; look for the named elite.
Time of day
Set the world to daytime before searching. Practical farming guides specify daytime for Flameruff the Mighty, and a night search can make an otherwise correct route look empty. If the area is quiet, verify the time setting before changing your target or assuming the drop is broken.
How the target is labelled
The encounter can appear as Flameruff the Mighty. Item records may instead identify the same eligible enemy as Flameruff: Elite. The title matters: the elite designation, not merely the species name, identifies the source of the spirit.
Exact farming procedure
- Open the evolution screen and confirm that the source is the regular, basic orange Flameruff.
- Finish Journey: Warrior if the branch is still locked.
- Change the world to daytime.
- Go to Beast Fang Ridge, using the area east of Alpha Scorchhowl’s territory and the withered forest as landmarks.
- Search for the titled enemy Flameruff the Mighty or the equivalent Flameruff: Elite label.
- Defeat the elite. Do not capture it; capture rewards do not include an Unbroken Flameruff Spirit.
- Inspect the reward and inventory. A successful defeat may award a spirit, but the drop is not guaranteed.
- If the encounter does not produce a spirit, leave the area, teleport to the Outpost, and return to Beast Fang Ridge. This is a guide-reported way to make the elite available again, not a guaranteed technical respawn rule.
- Repeat the fight until the inventory contains six spirits.
- Return to the eligible orange Flameruff’s evolution screen and provide the six spirits plus a Night Stone, or a Flux Crystal in the stone slot if the interface accepts that substitute.
Keep a running count in your inventory rather than assuming every elite victory paid out. The material can fail to appear even when the correct enemy, location, time, and combat action were used.

Ordinary Flameruffs are also not a lower-rate source. They are the wrong source altogether: the documented drop is tied to the titled elite. Farming groups of unnamed Flameruffs therefore spends time without improving your spirit count.
How the chance-based drop affects your route
No verified exact drop percentage is available. That means there is no reliable number of victories to promise, and a dry run does not prove that the quest, location, or game installation is malfunctioning. Treat each eligible elite defeat as one attempt and continue until six spirits are present.

A useful routine is to prepare the daytime setting first, travel directly to the withered forest, defeat the named elite, check the inventory, and then use the Outpost return described by farming guides when another attempt is needed. Avoid changing several variables at once: if you alter the time, target, and form simultaneously, you cannot tell which condition corrected the problem.
Because the Outpost loop is reported by guides rather than documented as a guaranteed system mechanic, the elite may not return every time. If it is absent, confirm daytime and the route landmarks, then make another Outpost trip instead of switching to ordinary Flameruffs.
Flux Crystal versus Night Stone
The substitution is narrow. A Flux Crystal can stand in for the one Night Stone required by the evolution. It does not replace the six Unbroken Flameruff Spirits, increase the elite’s drop rate, or convert an ordinary Flameruff into a valid source.

If the evolution screen still reports missing spirits after you insert a Flux Crystal, that is expected. Return to the elite farm; buying, finding, or substituting a stone cannot solve a spirit shortage.

The safest test is the interface itself: if the game offers the Inferlupa evolution for that individual and lists the six spirits, it is the correct source. If it does not, changing farming locations will not make that form qualify.
What Journey: Warrior actually does
Journey: Warrior is a gate, not a six-material reward. Completing it unlocks the branch that allows the regular orange Flameruff to evolve, but the game still expects you to obtain the spirits separately from the elite encounter. Players who finish the quest and immediately search their inventory for six new materials have completed only the unlock condition.
If the evolution remains unavailable after the journey, check both conditions: the quest status and the Flameruff’s form. A completed quest cannot make Highland, Mountainwoods, Scorchhowl, or another ineligible form display the same branch.

Efficient six-spirit farming plan
Prepare once
Put the correct orange Flameruff in an accessible party or storage slot, finish the Warrior journey, and set daytime before leaving for the ridge. Have enough inventory space to notice each new Epic material and keep a Night Stone or Flux Crystal ready for the final evolution.
Repeat a consistent loop
Use the same landmark route to the withered forest, identify the elite by name, defeat it, and record the new inventory total. When the spirit count does not increase, teleport to the Outpost and return as the reported refresh method. Consistency makes it easier to distinguish a normal unlucky attempt from a wrong target.
Finish only after checking the count
Do not start the evolution menu after the first successful drop and assume the other five are pending automatically. The requirement is six separate spirits in inventory. Once the count reaches six, select the eligible Flameruff, place the six spirits and the stone component in the evolution interface, and confirm the Inferlupa branch.
