How do you get to the Underdark in BG3?
There are four listed entrances from the surface. They lead to different parts of the region, so choose based on where you want to explore first.

What is in the Underdark?
The region is a compact slice of the broader fictional Underdark, not a tour of the entire setting. Its named areas include a settlement, ruins, a tower, an outpost, a village and a forge. The bg3.wiki Underdark page also lists the Wilderness and Shadow-Cursed Lands as adjacent regions.
Ebonlake Grotto
In the north, Ebonlake Grotto is a Myconid-colony hub. Sovereign Spaw and Glut are among its notable residents; traders Blurg and Derryth Bonecloak are there, as is Omeluum. Thulla is another named character associated with the grotto.

Arcane Tower
The Arcane Tower stands in the south-west. Its Arcane Cannons are a hazard, and Sussur Tree flowers can disable them. Bernard is a notable character at the tower.
Selûnite Outpost
The Selûnite Outpost lies in the south-east and is connected to the Find the Nightsong quest.

Storehouse and Minotaur Hills
The Storehouse and Minotaur Hills occupy the north-east. Minotaurs are among the region’s dangerous creatures.
Other named locations
The remaining named locations include Decrepit Village, Dread Hollow, Grymforge and the Festering Cove. Dread Hollow is associated with Baelen Bonecloak and Filro; the Festering Cove with BOOOAL and Pooldripp. Grymforge is one of the region’s major subareas.

Which quests take place in the Underdark?
The region intersects several Act One quest lines. The named quests include Find the Nightsong, Find the Mushroom Picker, Find a Cure and Reach Moonrise Towers. Find a Cure includes the objective Help Omeluum investigate the parasite. Additional quests are tied to individual named locations.
What hazards, creatures and useful items should you know about?
Threats and notable finds are spread across the region rather than confined to one route. The bg3.wiki Underdark page identifies these creatures and items as notable regional content:
- Hazards and creatures: Arcane Turrets, Minotaurs, Hook Horrors, the Bulette and the Spectator. Arcane Tower’s Arcane Cannons can be disabled with Sussur Tree flowers.
