What “focused on console” meant in February 2024
In an interview published February 19, 2024, Steel City Interactive CEO and co-founder Ash Habib said, “We’re fully focused on our console development.” The team was preparing the game for its version-one console launch, a process Habib described as different from releasing on Steam or PC. Insider Gaming’s February 2024 interview reported that he did not give a launch date, citing potential issues and delays.

The interview also clarified what the console push meant for early access. The Career Mode and Character Creator update was expected to be the final update adding major features, not the final update of any kind. Habib said the team still anticipated gameplay balancing, while weighing that work against the resources needed for console preparation.
When did Undisputed come out on consoles?
Undisputed launched on October 11, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, alongside its PC release. The date was reported ahead of launch by Insider Gaming in May 2024 and later confirmed in the developer’s statement. The 2024 announcement covered these platforms; it did not describe the game as a console exclusive.

For physical-edition shoppers, the May 2024 report said the Deluxe WBC Edition included a WBC patch. That is a detail about the edition reported at the time, not confirmation of present-day stock or availability in every region.
Is Undisputed still getting updates?
No. In a statement dated April 29, 2026, Habib said, “there will be no further content drops or updates for Undisputed.” The studio said the existing game would remain playable in offline and online modes, while it moved its resources to developing a sequel in Unreal Engine. What the studio reported about the game
In that April 2026 statement, Steel City Interactive reported the following figures. They are the studio’s own figures, not independently audited statistics in the cited sources.
- Over 5.90 million unique players
- More than 100 fighters and 45 unique, fight-defining punches
- 208 million fights and 125 million knockouts
- 107 million careers launched
The same statement retrospectively said the game had spent 19 months in early access before its official launch. For a launch-period perspective, Insider Gaming’s October 2024 interview with Habib and SCI Director of Product and Authenticity Will Kinsler discussed console readiness, gameplay changes, player response, and what the studio considered a successful launch.
