Used Cars Simulator lists a 64-bit Windows 10 PC with an Intel Core i3-4130 or AMD FX-8350, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon R9 280, and 20 GB of free storage as its minimum configuration. The recommended tier raises that to an Intel Core i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 5700, and 24 GB of storage.
Those are component thresholds from the official Steam listing, not a frame-rate guarantee. The page does not publish resolution, graphics presets, FPS targets, benchmarks, driver requirements, or support for operating systems other than 64-bit Windows 10. It also warns that the requirements may change while development continues.

Official Used Cars Simulator requirements
The Steam store page separates the hardware into minimum and recommended tiers. Both require 64-bit Windows 10. The alternatives in each row are processor or graphics-card options listed by the developer, not a promise that every model with a similar name will perform identically.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i3-4130 at 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 |
Intel Core i7-9700 at 3.6 GHz or Ryzen 5 3600 at 3.6 GHz |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 280 |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 |
| Available storage | 20 GB | 24 GB |
The listing identifies DreamWay Games as the developer and PlayWay S.A. as the publisher, and gives October 9, 2026 as the release date. Its system-requirements section includes the qualification: “System Requirements subject to change as development continues.” Treat the table as the current published target, not a permanent specification.

Minimum versus recommended: what each tier tells you
Minimum is a compatibility floor
Meeting every minimum entry means your PC matches the lowest hardware configuration named on the store page. It does not establish a particular resolution, visual preset, loading time or frame rate. A machine that misses one item is outside the published specification; the page does not say whether it will launch, which setting might help, or how severe the performance loss would be.
The minimum processor choices are an i3-4130 or FX-8350, paired with 8 GB of memory and a GTX 1050 Ti or R9 280. You need 20 GB of available space in addition to the operating-system and personal-file space already used by the computer.
Recommended is the developer’s higher target
The recommended list is a different question from “will it start?” It describes the stronger PC configuration the developer names: an i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, an RTX 3060 or RX 5700, and 24 GB free. Matching it still does not guarantee a frame rate or a specific graphics quality because no such measurements are published.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteRecommended storage is only 4 GB above the minimum. The larger increase is in memory and graphics capability, with a newer eight-core-class Intel option or six-core Ryzen option and substantially newer GPU families. Do not infer that the two alternatives in a row are interchangeable in every workload; use the exact model installed in your PC when checking.
Check your PC against every requirement
Compare the five categories separately. A PC can exceed the CPU requirement while falling short on the graphics card, or have enough RAM but not enough free disk space.
1. Confirm the operating system and architecture
- Press
Windows+R, typewinver, and press Enter to see the Windows version. - Open Settings > System > About. Under Windows specifications, note the edition and version; under Device specifications, check System type.
- The listing calls for 64-bit Windows 10. A 32-bit installation is not the listed configuration. The page does not establish support for Windows 11, Linux, macOS, SteamOS or virtual machines, so those cases should be treated as unconfirmed rather than automatically supported.
If you use Windows 11, the hardware may be similar, but the official requirement shown is specifically Windows 10 64-bit. Check for an updated store entry or developer statement after release before relying on another operating system.

- 2nd Generation RT Cores
- 3rd Generation Tensor Cores
- Powered by GeForce RTX 3060
- Integrated with 12GB GDDR6 192-bit memory interface
2. Identify the processor
- Open Settings > System > About and read the processor name, or press
Ctrl+Shift+Escand select the Performance tab, then CPU. - Record the complete model, not only “Core i5,” “Ryzen 5” or the clock speed. Generation and model number matter.
- Compare that exact name with the listed i3-4130, FX-8350, i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600 options. The store page does not provide a longer processor-support list or a benchmark-based equivalency chart.
On a laptop, verify the processor model rather than assuming a mobile chip with the same family name matches a desktop part. Also check that the game is using the intended high-performance power profile when testing a notebook.
3. Check installed memory
- In Task Manager > Performance > Memory, read the total installed RAM.
- Close browsers, launchers and other applications before starting the game, especially if the PC has only 8 GB.
- Use installed capacity for the comparison: the minimum is 8 GB and the recommended figure is 16 GB. “Available memory” shown at a particular moment is not the same as installed RAM.
The requirement does not state a memory speed, channel configuration or paging-file size. Do not turn the 8 GB figure into a claim about a specific upgrade kit or expected performance.
4. Verify the dedicated graphics card
- Press
Windows+R, enterdxdiag, and open the Display tab, or use Task Manager > Performance > GPU. - Write down the complete GPU model and whether the system has more than one adapter.
- Compare it with the minimum GTX 1050 Ti or R9 280, then separately with the recommended RTX 3060 or RX 5700.
Integrated graphics are not named in the official list. A laptop’s “RTX 3060” can also have different power limits from a desktop card, and the page does not explain how those variants should be treated. Such systems are not covered by a published performance guarantee.
5. Measure free storage, not drive capacity
- Open Settings > System > Storage, or open File Explorer > This PC.
- Look at the free space on the drive where Steam will install the game.
- Compare that number with 20 GB for minimum or 24 GB for recommended. Leave additional headroom for Windows updates, shader caches, save files and other games instead of filling the drive to its limit.
The listing says “available” storage; it does not specify an SSD, hard-drive speed, partition type or download-space buffer. Installing on an SSD may affect loading convenience, but the official page supplies no storage-performance measurement.
How to interpret borderline PCs
One component below minimum
If any single category is below the minimum row, the complete PC does not meet the published minimum. The source does not establish a workaround, an expected FPS range or a setting that makes up for the shortfall. You can still check whether a later update changes the requirements, but do not present an out-of-spec system as confirmed compatible.
Meets minimum, misses recommended
This is the most common “yes, but” result. Your system matches the developer’s floor, yet it does not match the higher hardware target. That distinction says nothing precise about smoothness because the store page gives no test conditions. Record which parts meet which row rather than reducing the result to a single pass/fail label.

Meets recommended
A PC with the i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3060 or RX 5700, Windows 10 64-bit and at least 24 GB free matches every recommended entry. That is the strongest compatibility conclusion supported by the listing. It remains a requirements match, not a promise of a particular resolution, preset or frame rate.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the published requirements do not tell you
- No FPS, frame-time, resolution or graphics-preset target is supplied.
- No benchmark procedure, test scene or hardware review is cited.
- No minimum or recommended graphics API, driver version, ray-tracing setting or upscaling technology is specified.
- No official statement confirms support for operating systems other than 64-bit Windows 10.
- No peripheral requirement is listed; the page does not name a steering wheel, controller or other accessory.
- The requirements can change during development, so the store page should be rechecked around launch and after major updates.
These omissions matter when deciding whether to buy or upgrade. A requirements table can identify the developer’s hardware thresholds, but it cannot substitute for a performance test under your chosen resolution and settings.
Practical preparation before installing
Make a comparison record
Write down your Windows edition and architecture, CPU model, installed RAM, every GPU adapter and free space on the intended Steam library drive. Compare each line with the table. This avoids common mistakes such as checking total disk capacity instead of free space or reading the integrated adapter when the system also has a dedicated GPU.

Update without treating updates as a guarantee
Install current Windows updates and the latest driver supplied for your graphics hardware before launching. This is sensible maintenance, not evidence that an unsupported GPU will meet the game’s requirements. If the game reports a missing component, record the exact message and recheck the official listing for changes.
Keep extra disk space available
Reserve more than the stated 20 GB or 24 GB so the installation, patching process and operating system are not competing for the last few gigabytes. The figures are the published available-space thresholds, not a recommendation to fill a drive completely.
Release context and how to recheck the answer
Used Cars Simulator is described as a single-player driving and trading sandbox in which you buy, repair, customize and sell cars while exploring and completing quests. The Steam page lists October 9, 2026 as the release date. Because the same page says the requirements are subject to change as development continues, the safest time to make a final compatibility decision is immediately before installation, using the current store entry rather than an older screenshot or repost.
For a clear personal answer, report both results: “meets minimum” or “does not meet minimum,” and separately “meets recommended” or “does not meet recommended.” Include the component that decides the result. That wording stays within what the official specifications actually establish and avoids implying a performance level the developer has not published.
