What the Fusion Forge is for
The Fusion Forge does not manufacture a weapon from ordinary materials. It is a customization station for eligible Ancestral items. Its purpose is to let you replace undesirable attributes with better ones while preserving the base item you selected as the target.

- Ancestral weapons: combine two Ancestral weapons, including weapons of different types or tiers, to select useful attributes for the target.
- Jewels: combine two jewels only when both jewels belong to the same spell.
The result is assembled from the attributes available on both inputs. You choose which attributes to write onto the target rather than accepting a completely random reroll. Fusion is therefore a way to improve a specific build, not a method for generating unlimited additional effects.
The most important safety rule is positional: the item in the left slot is the item that remains, while the item in the right slot is destroyed when the fusion completes. Check the slot order before confirming, especially when both inputs are valuable.

How to unlock the Fusion Forge
Progress through Oakveil
The Fusion Forge belongs to the Oakveil endgame progression. You cannot build it at the start of a new castle simply by collecting its materials; its blueprint is gated behind a V Blood encounter.
Defeat Dantos the Forgebinder
Defeat Dantos the Forgebinder and drink his V Blood. The specialist guide identifies this victory as the unlock for the Fusion Forge blueprint and the Ember Glass recipe. Once the blueprint is available, the station can be constructed at your castle.

Gather the construction materials

These are the one-time building requirements for the station. Ember Glass is also consumed whenever you complete a fusion, so the amount needed for construction should not be treated as your entire operating budget.
Build it at your castle
- Return to a castle where you have construction access.
- Open the build menu after Dantos’ V Blood unlock has been applied.
- Select the Fusion Forge and place it in a suitable crafting area.
- Consider reserving space for Forge Flooring before you begin repeated attribute rolls; the flooring changes both fuel use and operating speed.
Prepare items before you fuse
Restore a shattered weapon first
A shattered Ancestral weapon is not repaired by the Fusion Forge. If you need to restore a shattered shard, use the Ancestral Forge first. After the weapon has been restored, the Fusion Forge can be used to refine its attributes.

The Fusion Forge can accept Ancestral weapons that are shattered or reforged according to the wiki reference, but that does not turn the station into a restoration machine. Restoration and attribute customization are separate jobs.
Choose the target by base item and attribute count
Decide which item you want to preserve before opening the station. The left-slot item supplies the surviving base weapon or jewel and keeps its original number of attributes. Fusion changes which traits occupy those available positions; it does not create an unlimited number of new slots.
This means a donor with spectacular traits is not automatically the correct left-slot item. If the other input has the base weapon, spell, or attribute count you need, put that item on the left and use the spectacular item as the donor on the right.
Save donors deliberately
For weapons, keep an Ancestral item when it carries an attribute you want to transfer, even if its weapon type is not the one you normally equip. Weapon fusion is flexible across weapon types and tiers, so an unwanted weapon can still be a valuable donor.

For jewels, keep alternatives for the same spell. Before consuming one, compare both attribute lists and identify which jewel should be the target and which one is expendable. A jewel for a different spell cannot be used to bypass the same-spell requirement.
How a Fusion Forge operation works
- Open the station. Interact with the Fusion Forge at your castle.
- Place the target on the left. Put the Ancestral weapon or jewel whose base item and attribute count you want to preserve in the left input slot.
- Place the donor on the right. The right input supplies alternative attributes and will be destroyed if you finish the operation.
- Review the available attributes. The station presents a combined list drawn from the two inputs. Inspect every option instead of assuming the best-looking donor should replace the entire target.
- Select the traits to write. Choose the attributes that fit your weapon, spell, and build. You are selecting from the options shown by the station, not adding arbitrary effects from outside the two inputs.
- Check the confirmation screen. Verify the left item is the one you intend to keep, confirm the Ember Glass charge, and make sure the selected attributes are the ones you want.
- Complete the fusion. The station consumes the fuel, writes the selected attributes onto the left item, and destroys the right-slot item.
There is no documented success-rate roll to optimize. The meaningful decisions are which item occupies each slot, which traits you select, and whether the Ember Glass cost is justified by the improvement.

Use cross-type donors to target a specific trait
Ancestral weapon fusion is comparatively flexible. The two weapons do not have to be the same weapon type, and the guide describes the system as working across weapon types and tiers. This allows you to treat an unwanted weapon as an attribute source rather than discarding it simply because you will never equip it.
For example, if your preferred weapon is the correct base for your build but has a weak attribute, keep it in the left slot. A different Ancestral weapon carrying the trait you want can go on the right, even when that donor belongs to another weapon category. The output remains based on the left-hand target while exposing the donor’s useful trait for selection.

Preserve the right number of attribute positions
Because the result retains the left item’s original attribute count, choose the target with its slot capacity in mind. A donor with more attractive effects cannot be used to expand a lower-count target indefinitely. If preserving a particular number of available attributes matters, that decision is made when you choose the left input, not after the station produces the preview.
Do not destroy a better base by accident
When two weapons both look useful, pause before confirming. The weapon on the right is not merely “used for its stats”; it is permanently consumed by the completed operation. Move the weapon you intend to keep to the left and reserve the right slot for the item you are willing to lose.
Jewel fusion: the same-spell rule
Both jewels must serve the same spell
Jewels follow a stricter compatibility rule than weapons. The Fusion Forge accepts two jewels only when they are for the same spell. You cannot combine a jewel for one spell with a jewel for another and then select whichever spell effect you prefer.
Compare before consuming
Same-spell alternatives can still have different attribute lists. Place the jewel with the base item and attribute count you want to retain on the left, then use the other jewel as the donor. Review the combined list carefully because the right-hand jewel disappears when the operation completes.

Build a small donor reserve
It is useful to keep multiple jewels for an important spell until you know which attributes complement your final loadout. A jewel that looks weaker as a complete package may carry one effect that is more valuable than the attributes on your current target. Compare the options in the station rather than judging each jewel only by its standalone appearance.
Fusion Forge costs and room optimization
Construction cost versus operating cost
Building the station costs 1 Primal Blood Essence, 12 Ember Glass, and 16 Dark Silver Ingots. Every completed fusion then consumes additional Ember Glass, so repeated experimentation requires a separate stockpile.

Forge Flooring reduces the fuel charge by 3 Ember Glass per completed fusion, which is a 25% reduction from the normal 12. The same confined-room setup is recorded as providing a 25% speed bonus. The fuel reduction applies when the forge is operating with the matching flooring condition; merely placing flooring elsewhere in the castle does not change the charge shown by the station.
Plan around repeated rerolls
If you expect to fuse several weapons or compare multiple same-spell jewels, install the appropriate flooring before spending your Ember Glass. The lower per-operation charge makes a larger difference over a long crafting session than it does for a single emergency improvement. Keep enough Ember Glass for the number of completed operations you realistically intend to make, rather than budgeting only for the station’s construction recipe.
What the Fusion Forge cannot do
- It cannot craft an Ancestral weapon from raw materials. You must begin with eligible Ancestral inputs.
- It cannot restore a shattered shard. Restoration belongs to the Ancestral Forge; use that station before attribute refinement.
- It cannot combine unrelated jewels. Jewel inputs must serve the same spell.
- It cannot preserve both inputs. The right-slot item is destroyed on completion.
- It cannot add unlimited attribute slots. The result keeps the left item’s original attribute count.
- It does not provide a documented success-rate or drop-rate system. The outcome depends on your selected inputs and attributes, not a published percentage chance.
A practical crafting plan
For a preferred weapon with one bad trait
- Keep the preferred weapon on the left.
- Search your other Ancestral weapons for a donor carrying a trait that directly improves the preferred build.
- Confirm that the donor is acceptable to lose and that the target’s attribute count is the one you want to preserve.
- Preview the combined list, select the replacement trait, and complete the fusion only after checking the 12- or 9-Ember Glass charge.
For a newly restored weapon
- Use the Ancestral Forge to restore the shattered shard.
- Place the restored weapon on the left in the Fusion Forge.
- Use an unwanted Ancestral weapon as a donor if it has a better attribute for your build.
- Review the output and keep the restored weapon’s base and original attribute count while replacing only the traits that need work.
For a same-spell jewel collection
- Group your jewels by spell before opening the forge.
- Within one spell group, select the jewel whose base and attribute count you want to preserve.
- Place a second same-spell jewel on the right and compare its attributes with the target’s list.
- Consume the donor only when the selected combination is a clear improvement for the spell build.
For efficient endgame sessions
- Defeat Dantos and unlock the station before setting aside a large Ember Glass budget.
- Build the forge in a room prepared for matching Forge Flooring if you expect several operations.
- Store potential weapon donors and same-spell jewel alternatives instead of consuming them immediately.
- Run each preview with the intended target on the left and verify the right-hand item is expendable.
Choosing what to craft first
Prioritize the item that will remain in your build long enough to justify the fuel and donor. A weapon with the correct base, attribute count, and a single replaceable weakness is usually a clearer first project than an item you may soon replace. For jewels, prioritize the spell that is central to your current combat setup and keep enough same-spell alternatives to compare before committing.
Do not spend Ember Glass simply because two items can be combined. The forge is most valuable when the left item is already the base you want and the right item supplies a specific improvement. If neither input offers a meaningful upgrade, save the materials and donors for a better pairing.
Quick pre-confirmation checklist
- Is the item you want to keep in the left slot?
- Is the right-slot item one you are willing to destroy?
- For jewels, do both inputs belong to the same spell?
- For a shattered weapon, have you restored it with the Ancestral Forge first?
- Does the left item have the attribute count and base item you intend to preserve?
- Have you reviewed every available attribute in the preview?
- Do you have enough Ember Glass for the displayed charge?
- Is the forge benefiting from matching Forge Flooring if you are performing repeated fusions?
