To get in, go around the mine’s western or eastern perimeter and follow the ledges down to an alternate entrance. Sir Magnus the Overseer guards the front gate, but you do not have to defeat him just to enter: you can sprint past him and open the gate from inside.
Where to find the Sacred Silver Mine
Look for the mine in Silverlight Hills. The V Rising Wiki’s location index lists it among the region’s locations and identifies Silver Ore as a resource there.
How to enter the mine
- Do not try to open the front gate from outside. It cannot be opened from that side.
- Go around either side of the mine. The Sir Magnus the Overseer reference describes skirting the western or eastern perimeter heading north.
- Follow the ledges down. Jump down the series of ledges to reach the alternate entrance.
- Choose how to handle Sir Magnus. He is a level 66 V Blood Carrier at the mine. You can fight him, or sprint past him and interact with the gate from inside to open it.
The cited route describes the mine’s layout, not a guarantee of safety on every server. Your gear, skill, game mode, and server conditions can affect how risky a run feels.
What to do with Silver Ore
The mine is a source of Silver Ore. One listed use is crafting Dark Silver Ingot: at a Furnace, the recipe uses 20 Silver Ore and 1 Spectral Dust, according to the V Rising Wiki item reference.

Prepare for carrying silver
The item reference lists both Silver Resistance Brew and Silver Resistance Potion. It says the potion grants 50 Silver Resistance for 60 minutes. The reference does not establish whether those figures or effects have changed in the current live build, so check the item description in your game if exact mechanics matter.
A 2023 Prima Games guide reports that carrying silver causes ongoing damage that scales with the amount carried, and that Iron Weapons or higher can mine Silver Ore. Those are version-sensitive details from an older guide rather than a current official reference. If you rely on them, verify the mining requirement and carrying effects in your current game; avoid assuming a particular damage amount.

Plan your run
- Choose your gate strategy: fight Sir Magnus if you are ready for the encounter, or use the route past him to reach the gate from inside.
- Manage your haul: decide how much ore to carry at once, especially if you are relying on older guidance about silver causing damage.
- Check your resistance consumable: the item reference lists a Silver Resistance Potion and Brew, but consult your in-game item details for current effects.
