VALORANT Patch 10.02, published February 4, 2025, is a small bug-fix update. It fixes several agent and gameplay-system issues across all platforms, including a niche change to how Killjoy’s Alarmbot handles ledges, plus three Premier interface issues on PC.
Riot’s official Patch 10.02 notes, written by Ashley Tsao, describe it as a “Small patch this time but with important bug fixes, of course!”

What changed in VALORANT Patch 10.02?
The patch consists of bug fixes rather than a broad agent-balance update or map-pool announcement. Riot separates the changes into fixes for all platforms and fixes that apply only to PC.

All-platform fixes
Lethal damage and Regen Shields
Riot fixed a bug that could leave players at 1 HP after certain damage that should have killed them. The fix also addresses cases where Clove could survive lethal damage while Regen Shield and Pick Me Up were active at the same time.
Vyse’s Arc Rose and Razorvine visuals
Arc Rose and Razorvine could appear on specific water surfaces after placement. Patch 10.02 fixes that visual bug.

Tejo’s Armageddon
A rare bug could let players survive by running straight through Armageddon for its full duration. Riot says that issue is fixed.
Killjoy’s recall indicator and Alarmbot
The update fixes an issue that could make Killjoy’s recall minimap indicator invisible. It also changes Alarmbot logic in a narrow ledge-related situation: rather than attempting an extremely long route around the map, the bot can path toward players on ledges and explode if they are within its explosion’s size.

Observer team outlines
Riot fixed inconsistent player team-outline colors seen by Observers.

- Text could be cut off in standings dropdowns.
- The division name could be misaligned on the match-history screen.
Did Killjoy get changed in Patch 10.02?
Yes, but the notes describe a targeted Alarmbot logic adjustment for niche ledge situations, not a broad balance change. The patch also fixes the visibility of Killjoy’s recall minimap indicator.
