Waylay’s release rollout in VALORANT began March 5, 2025, at 9:00 AM PT. Riot said availability would roll out to regions in stages, so that time was the start of the rollout—not a simultaneous worldwide unlock.
When did Waylay come out in VALORANT?
Riot Games announced March 5, 2025, as Waylay’s release date, with the staggered rollout starting at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. The announcement appeared in VALORANT Patch Notes 10.04, published March 4, 2025. Riot introduced Waylay as a Duelist from Thailand.
Did every region get Waylay at 9:00 AM PT?
No. Riot described the release as a staggered rollout to all regions. The English patch note gives the rollout’s starting time, but does not list the exact unlock time for each region. That means 9:00 AM PT is the confirmed start, not proof that Waylay became playable everywhere at that same moment.

What the release date does—and doesn’t—tell you
- Confirmed: the rollout began March 5, 2025, at 9:00 AM PT.
- Not specified in the English announcement: each region’s individual availability time.
- Separate from the release: later balance changes. For example, Riot’s October 14, 2025 Patch Notes 11.08 reduced Saturate’s hinder duration from four seconds to three and Convergent Paths’ from seven seconds to six. Those are historical patch details, not a statement of her current ability values.
