What came with the Ante Chamber launch?
Poncle’s October 28, 2025 Steam announcement described Ante Chamber as a free expansion and listed online co-op alongside it. The announcement also named updates to Ode to Castlevania, Westwoods, and Mazerella as part of the release package.
The announcement establishes that Poncle described the expansion as free; it does not establish current store availability, regional details, or platform-by-platform rollout. It also does not specify online player limits, crossplay, connection requirements, or how downloadable content is handled in co-op.
Is The Coop the same as online co-op?
No. The Coop is the name of a separate, chicken-themed free update listed on Steam on April 10, 2025. It is not another name for the online co-op announced in October.

The Steam listing for The Coop describes these additions:
- A relic that speeds up the game
- A stage, character, weapon, and darkana
- Eight achievements
- Two Adventures, each with six chapters: “To End an Ice Age” for the base game and “Tides of the Foscari” for the Tides of the Foscari DLC
The listing also gives selected unlock instructions: collecting a lifetime total of 500 Floor Chickens unlocks The Coop; banishing or sealing 80 items unlocks the final Seal power-up; and completing “To End an Ice Age” once unlocks a She-Moon skin. These are instructions for content described in that update listing, not universal prerequisites for every expansion or mode.

How does this relate to the earlier couch co-op update?
Online co-op in the 2025 announcement should not be confused with the couch co-op mode discussed two years earlier. In a July 11, 2023 preview, Xbox Wire reported that a four-player couch co-op mode was planned for August 17, 2023 as a free update. That historical preview describes couch co-op, not the later online mode, and does not establish current platform availability or online requirements.
