For fan conventions: PAX East and PAX West
PAX East was listed for May 8–11, 2025, in Boston by a secondary convention calendar. That source supports the dates and city, but not a venue or detailed program, so those details are not included here. 2025 convention calendar

Planning around an event
- Choose by purpose: GDC is geared toward professional development and industry networking; PAX listings point to fan-convention attendance; Summer Game Fest’s showcase could be watched online; and TGS divided access between business and public days.
- Check the exact event scope: Summer Game Fest’s stated venue and time apply to its live showcase, not every associated presentation. TGS’s on-site dates and online programs formed a hybrid event.
- Confirm details for travel: The cited PAX East calendar establishes Boston and the May dates but does not establish a venue. Check the event organizer’s current or archived information before booking around venue-specific plans.
- Keep the dates in context: These are 2025 editions. They should not be treated as dates for later annual events.
What this calendar does not establish
The dates above do not amount to a comprehensive list of gaming events worldwide, and they do not establish dates for every event a reader might mean by “biggest gaming conventions.” In particular, this selection does not provide verified dates for Gamescom. No comparable attendance measure is available across these events, so attendance is not ranked or compared.
