When did Voidtrain leave Early Access?
Voidtrain left Early Access and launched in full on November 7, 2025. HypeTrain Digital announced the date on October 15, 2025; the game had originally entered Steam Early Access on May 9, 2023. That November date is a completed release milestone, not a future launch announcement. Version 1.0 is the full-release version.

The Tesla Era changes train power
The Tesla Era overhauls how the train is powered: modules can draw energy from electricity, and older modules can be upgraded. It is a change to the train’s systems, not simply an additional train component.
Balance and quality-of-life updates
The release announcement also describes revised balance and the removal of gameplay cycles it considered unnecessary. Quality-of-life additions include sorting for inventory and containers, more automated resource management, adjustable world settings, and new container tiers.

What happens to existing saves?
Existing saves remain supported. HypeTrain Digital suggested that returning players may prefer starting a new game to experience the accumulated changes from the beginning; that is a recommendation, not a requirement to keep playing.
What kind of game is Voidtrain?
Steam describes Voidtrain as an “Interdimensional Express Train” adventure. Players explore the Void, build and upgrade a train, gather materials, craft weapons, and fight enemies. Steam lists both solo play and online co-op for up to four people. The publisher’s release announcement also says the game supports crossplay with Epic Games Store and Xbox; that claim should not be extended to platforms it does not name.

Where can you play it?
Steam lists HypeTrain Digital as both developer and publisher, with the full release dated November 7, 2025. Xbox Wire’s October 31, 2025 launch-week roundup listed Voidtrain for November 7 on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass, and noted Xbox Series X|S optimization and Xbox Play Anywhere. That is a launch-week availability statement, not confirmation that the game remains in a subscription catalog today or is available in every region. Check the relevant store or subscription catalog for current access terms.
The Steam page presents digital game and add-on listings, including a supporter upgrade and soundtrack. Those listings do not establish the existence of a physical edition. Prices, discounts, subscription eligibility, and regional availability can change; verify them with the relevant storefront before buying or subscribing.
Should returning players start over?
A new save is optional. Keep an existing save if continuing your current run matters most; consider a fresh start if you want to encounter the story and revised systems from their beginning. The publisher confirms save support but does not require one approach over the other.
