Wanderlost is a planned single-player survival and crafting game built around gathering supplies, exploring a procedurally generated world, and establishing a defensible base. Steam currently lists it as “Coming soon” and says it is not yet available. The official listing describes the game’s systems, but does not establish the scenes or runtime of a specific Wanderlost Gameplay Trailer.
What is Wanderlost gameplay like?
The advertised loop brings together scavenging, preparation, exploration, construction, and combat. Players gather resources, craft equipment, and choose how to manage the risks of a wilderness populated by zombies and wildlife. The Steam description says: “The world of Wanderlost is procedurally generated, pick a direction and explore forever.”

According to the Wanderlost Steam store page, each new game has a different map and challenges. The listing advertises nine unique biomes and more than 75 melee weapons, bows, and guns; those are developer-provided feature counts, not independent measurements.
What activities and choices does the game advertise?
Build a base or fight with traps
The listing presents different ways to protect yourself: invest in walls and infrastructure, or lean on traps and direct combat. It also describes crafting and character progression through attributes and perks. These are advertised options; the listing does not establish how their balance or difficulty feels in play.

Explore the wilderness or loot urban areas
Players can search wilderness areas as well as abandoned towns and cities. The description frames denser zombie populations in modern areas as a higher-risk setting for looting, while wilderness exploration offers a different risk profile.
Grow, fish, or hunt for supplies
Farming and fishing are alternatives to hunting, which can provide resources such as hides. The listing also mentions gathering, cooking or preparation, and crafting as parts of staying supplied.
Does the trailer confirm those features?
Not on the evidence available here. Steam’s store description outlines advertised features, but it does not verify the contents of a particular trailer cut. So the features above describe what the game’s official listing says, not scenes confirmed to appear in trailer footage.
When is Wanderlost coming out?
As of October 8, 2026, Steam lists Wanderlost as “Coming soon” and says the game is not yet available. The current listing does not provide a confirmed release date.

A developer post dated August 14, 2024, in the Wanderlost Steam Community news discussed a planned Early Access launch in Q1 2025, along with work on pets and a female playable character. Q1 2025 has passed; that post records a historical plan, not a current launch schedule. The sources do not confirm whether every feature discussed there is in the present build.

- OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later
- Processor: Intel Core i5 at 1.5 GHz or above
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: 512 MB dedicated video card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher
- DirectX: Version 10
- Storage: 600 MB available space
Steam separately notes that its client supports Windows 10 and later as of January 1, 2024. That is a Steam client statement, distinct from the game’s listed minimum operating system.
