When was the War Robots: Frontiers console playtest?
MY.GAMES announced the playtest on November 18, 2024. It opened November 20 and ended December 4, 2024. The publisher said participants would receive a Daybreak Sparrow Sticker at the game’s launch. MY.GAMES’ announcement did not describe the sticker as a reward available immediately during the test.

What platforms did the playtest cover?
The announced test included PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and the MY.GAMES Launcher. Those are the platforms listed for the 2024 playtest; that list alone does not establish current availability on every platform.

What happened after the 2024 test?
A second, crossplay-focused playtest ran January 28 to February 3, 2025, according to Xbox Wire’s January 24 announcement. It covered crossplay, voice chat, console performance, and a redesigned user interface. Parisa Zhong, the game’s UI/UX Director, said the team had reworked the interface and made improvements to the Robot construction experience.
The initial “2025” release window was later made specific: the official War Robots: Frontiers site announced a March 4, 2025 launch for PC and console. The US PlayStation Store also lists March 4, 2025 as the release date.

Is War Robots: Frontiers free to play?
The US PlayStation Store listing identifies the game as free and says online play is required; in-game purchases are optional. It lists PS4 and PS5 and describes a multiplayer mech shooter with Team Deathmatch, Last Robot Standing, Warp Rush, and Leagues. The listing also describes customization through Pilots, weapons, special abilities, and cosmetics.
