The console Ultimate Edition bundles the base game with additional content, but its exact contents and name differ from the PC bundle. Whether it is worth buying depends on your platform, what you already own, and whether you want the included expansion and extras.
What the game is
Games Workshop describes Inquisitor – Martyr as an action RPG featuring multiple classes of the Inquisition. The premise puts you in the role of an Inquisitor investigating threats to the Imperium in the Warhammer 40,000 setting. Games Workshop’s licensed-products catalogue establishes the game’s identity and genre, but does not provide an independent evaluation of its combat, campaign pacing, controls, or performance.
What the console Ultimate Edition includes
Xbox’s Ultimate Edition listing identifies the base game and the Prophecy expansion, which adds a class and campaign. It also lists a ranked mode, 12 missions in unique game areas, five pets, and seven cosmetic items. These are the contents stated on the Xbox Ultimate Edition page; check the listing for your platform and region rather than assuming every store SKU is identical.
The PlayStation Store listing describes its Ultimate Edition as including Martyr and additional content. Its description does not establish the same item-by-item breakdown as Xbox’s page.

What Nacon said about the console bundle
In its Ultimate Edition launch description dated October 27, 2022, publisher Nacon said the console edition brought together four years of updates and 25 pieces of DLC, with next-generation enhancements. These are publisher claims made at launch, not an independently audited DLC count or a current performance benchmark.
Nacon also explicitly excluded the Sororitas DLC, stating: “The Sororitas DLC will not be included in the Ultimate Edition, more details about its availability will be given at a later date.” The statement appears in Nacon’s official Ultimate Edition launch trailer description.

Ultimate Edition and Definitive Edition are different store labels
The console stores use “Ultimate Edition,” while Steam uses “Definitive Edition” for its PC bundle. Do not assume the names indicate identical contents. Compare the relevant SKU on the Steam page, Xbox page, or PlayStation Store page before purchasing.
What the reviews can—and cannot—tell you
Steam’s store snapshot accessed October 8, 2026 showed 78% of 10,177 Steam user reviews were positive. That is a volatile rating from Steam users, not a critic score, a platform-wide verdict, or a score for the console Ultimate Edition specifically.
The available review evidence does not establish a reliable cross-platform critical consensus on build depth, campaign pacing, controls, performance, or value. Those are the issues to weigh when comparing a review for your exact platform and edition; the Steam snapshot alone cannot answer them.
Co-op and online play
Nacon’s 2022 launch description announced local co-op exclusive to consoles and online play for up to four players. The announcement does not establish the current health or availability of online services, nor does it confirm cross-play. If co-op is central to your decision, verify current multiplayer availability for your platform before buying.
Rank #4

How to decide if it is worth buying
- Choose by platform and SKU: check the store page for the exact edition available on your system; PC uses the “Definitive Edition” label rather than the console “Ultimate Edition.”
- Account for what you already own: if you have the base game or some of its DLC, compare the bundle’s listed contents against your library before paying for a full bundle.
- Decide whether the extras matter: Xbox lists Prophecy, its added class and campaign, ranked mode, missions, pets, and cosmetics. The Sororitas DLC is excluded according to Nacon’s launch description.
- Check current price and co-op availability: prices and online-service status are not established by the cited edition pages and 2022 announcement, so confirm them in your store before purchase.
- Use platform-specific criticism for gameplay questions: look for named reviews of the version you plan to play, especially if combat feel, pacing, interface, or performance is decisive for you.
In short, the Ultimate Edition is easiest to justify for someone who wants the bundled base game and listed additions and does not already own much of that content. There is not enough platform-specific review evidence here to make a blanket recommendation on gameplay quality or value.
