How to access the DMZ Barter System
Call of Duty’s Season 03 overview, published April 10, 2023, described a Barter option at Buy Stations across DMZ’s Exclusion Zones. Select Barter at a station to see the item recipes available there and the components each requires. As Call of Duty put it, “each Exclusion Zone has its own set of Barter options across its Buy Stations.” Call of Duty Staff’s Season 03 overview
The game’s menu is the practical authority for your current session. Published recipe guides are dated, and later updates show that the system could change. For example, Call of Duty’s September 27, 2023 Season 06 patch notes recorded that players could barter their own Dog Tags. That change does not establish which older recipes remain available today. All DMZ barter recipes: historical 2023 examples
These combinations appeared in 2023 secondary guides. They are useful as historical references, not as confirmation of the recipe currently shown in game. Options may differ by Exclusion Zone; check the Buy Station’s Barter menu for the map you are playing.

Why older DMZ recipe lists can disagree
The two 2023 guides do not match on every listed recipe. For the Crane Control Room Key, Pro Game Guides lists 1 Stronghold Keycard, while Prima Games lists 6. Neither historical entry should override the recipe shown at your Buy Station. Confirm the item and ingredients in the in-game menu rather than combining conflicting lists.

Where to search for barter ingredients
Pro Game Guides suggests looking in police stations for electronics and first-aid areas for medical items; Prima Games offers broad suggestions such as construction yards for tools. These are guide recommendations, not guaranteed spawn locations. Use them as search ideas, and prioritize the ingredient list displayed for the recipe you actually intend to make.

The official Season 03 overview explains the mechanic and zone-specific options, but it is not a living recipe database. The sources here do not establish the current availability of the legacy DMZ mode or whether any of these 2023 combinations remain unchanged. Activision’s Warzone Support page is a support index and does not settle the recipe question. For additional historical context on DMZ progression, the official Season 04 Community Update describes the Forward Operating Base and passive upgrade objectives, not a current barter catalog.
