Statista recorded 354,173 concurrent Twitch viewers across April 3–5, 2025. That is a historical milestone—not a claim that Warzone still holds its all-time peak.
What the 2025 viewer peak measures
Statista reported 354,173 peak concurrent Twitch viewers for Warzone over April 3–5, 2025, the period covering Verdansk’s return. Its comparison point was Warzone 2.0’s November 2022 release, making “since 2022” a comparison with that launch rather than with the original Warzone release in 2020. Statista’s dated viewership figures provide the clearest event-window measure.
Other reports captured different observations. Insider Gaming said more than 336,000 people were watching Warzone on Twitch while its April 3, 2025 article was being written; that was a live snapshot, not the same kind of date-range peak. Gaming.News reported 352,640 Twitch viewers for April 3. The sources do not explain why its figure differs from Statista’s 354,173, so the numbers should be attributed rather than blended into a single count.

Watch time adds context, but it is a different metric
For the two-day period after the season launch, Statista reported nearly 7.5 million Twitch viewership hours, 2.98 million YouTube viewership hours and 1.12 million Kick viewership hours. These are accumulated watch-time totals across platforms, not concurrent peak viewers, and they should not be added to or compared directly with the Twitch peak.

Insider Gaming estimated a combined cross-platform audience of 500,000–750,000 at the time. That range was presented as an estimate without a supplied methodology, so it is not an independently established total.

Streams Charts’ cross-platform battle royale leaderboard records a later Warzone peak of 631,572 on September 2, 2026. That figure spans platforms, unlike the 354,173 Twitch-only figure for April 3–5, 2025, so it is not a like-for-like correction. It does show why the headline should be read as a statement about the 2025 surge’s place relative to 2022—not as a current all-time record.
