Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China was free on PC through Ubisoft’s store from February 9 to February 15, 2021. That promotion has ended. Ubisoft’s US Store currently lists the game for $9.99, so it is not a current free gift there. Prices and availability can differ by region and change over time.
Can you claim Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China for free now?

For the United States, Ubisoft’s store currently lists the game for $9.99 and gives its release date as April 21, 2015: Ubisoft US Store listing. What was the free offer—and what was it not?
The 2021 PC store promotion
The 2021 giveaway was a time-limited offer to claim the PC game through Ubisoft’s store. It was not a permanent free-to-play release. The announcement described the promotion as running February 9–15, 2021.

Ubisoft also ran a small US-only code giveaway around the game’s 2015 launch. Entrants had to comment with a favorite Assassin’s Creed memory and their system choice; Ubisoft said it would select a couple of winners later that week. That contest was not a general free claim and does not mean the game is currently available at no cost. Details are in Ubisoft’s launch announcement.
What is Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China?
It is a 2.5D adventure starring Shao Jun, an Assassin who returns to China after training under Ezio Auditore. Ubisoft says the game’s art draws inspiration from traditional brush-stroke painting.
