No—the Epic Games Store giveaway is no longer available. Civilization VI Platinum Edition was widely reported free to claim from July 17 through July 24, 2025. That promotion has expired. Epic still lists Civilization VI, but its current listing is not proof that the old giveaway is open; check the live page for today’s price and availability.
Can you still claim Civilization VI Platinum Edition for free?
No. The reported Epic Games Store claim window ran from July 17 to July 24, 2025. PC Gamer and Windows Central reported the dates during the promotion; no archived Epic announcement confirming that historical offer is available here. Epic’s current Civilization VI listing can show present availability and price, but it does not mean the 2025 Platinum Edition giveaway remains active.
If you see the game marked unavailable, that alone does not establish that your account or region is restricted, or that the store has a technical problem. The historical offer has ended, and its specific checkout or eligibility rules are not established here.
What did Civilization VI Platinum Edition include?
Epic’s Platinum Edition product description lists the base game, two expansions, and six civilization or scenario packs:
Recommended Free Tools
#1 Best Overall
- Engaging gameplay for family and friends
- Strategic thinking and social interaction
- Durable components for repeated play
- Various themes and genres available
- Expansions: Rise and Fall; Gathering Storm.
- Packs: Poland Civilization & Scenario Pack; Vikings Scenario Pack; Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack; Persia and Macedon Civilization & Scenario Pack; Nubia Civilization & Scenario Pack; and Khmer and Indonesia Civilization & Scenario Pack.
Those listed contents make Platinum a substantial edition, but not the complete Civilization VI collection.
How does Platinum differ from Anthology?
Epic describes Anthology as including the base game, six DLC packs, Rise and Fall, Gathering Storm, and the New Frontier Pass. Its listing also says Anthology owners can get the Leader Pass at no additional cost. Those additional passes distinguish Anthology from Platinum.

Why might Civilization VI DLC not appear?
Epic has a support article about DLC not showing in Civilization VI, including after a Platinum or Anthology upgrade. If you own DLC but cannot see it in-game, follow Epic’s current troubleshooting guidance. The expired giveaway itself does not establish that any particular DLC-visibility issue is caused by the promotion.
