The Quake-related news it highlighted was content for Quake Champions: a limited-time Tri-Bolt weapon skin and the Cursed Soul map. QuakeCon 2024 ran August 8–11 in Grapevine, Texas; the answer here concerns what Bethesda reported from that event, not later or unrelated Quake news.
What did Bethesda announce before QuakeCon 2024?
On May 6, 2024, Bethesda announced that QuakeCon would take place August 8–11 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. The event was presented as a ticketed, Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC)-centered gathering, with around-the-clock gaming, tournaments, tabletop events, meetups and giveaways. Bethesda also said special programming would stream on its Twitch channel. Bethesda’s event announcement offered Premium and Regular BYOC tickets, plus a daytime Fan Ticket for attendees without a PC. It did not promise a Quake 6 reveal.

What was on the official stream schedule?
Bethesda’s schedule promoted four Slayers Club Live streams. Their listed subjects included DOOM + DOOM II, DOOM Eternal mods, and id Software staff and guests. That schedule describes the announced programming; it does not establish what may have been discussed privately or in unlisted conversations. The official schedule did not list a Quake 6 reveal.
What Quake news did Bethesda report after the event?
In its August 8 roundup, Bethesda covered updates and announcements across several franchises, including DOOM, Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 76. Its Quake item was for Quake Champions: a QuakeCon 2024 Tri-Bolt weapon skin, claimable through August 12, and the newly released Cursed Soul eight-player map. The roundup identified no new Quake game and reported no Quake 6 announcement. Bethesda’s official QuakeCon recap is the clearest account of the announcements it chose to report.
