Yes. The new 6v6 mode was called Dual Front, and Ubisoft ran a closed beta from March 13 to March 19, 2025. It later launched with Siege X on June 10, 2025, but Ubisoft says the playlist was removed at the start of Year 11 Season 2. The test is over, and Dual Front is no longer available to queue for.

What was tested in the Dual Front beta?

Ubisoft’s March 13, 2025 beta announcement described a closed, limited-time test on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Ubisoft Connect. The announcement did not list PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Access could be obtained through Twitch Drops, and owning Rainbow Six Siege was not required.

Ubisoft described Dual Front as a 6v6 mode on District, with teams choosing from a curated roster of 35 Operators. Unlike Siege’s usual separation of Attackers and Defenders by round, each Dual Front team could include both roles. Teams advanced by capturing sectors in enemy territory while protecting their own, with the objective flow leading toward the opposing Base. The mode also included respawns and time-limited assignments in a neutral sector. These details describe Ubisoft’s announced design; they are not independent beta findings.

Ubisoft’s June 2025 launch plan called Dual Front “permanent,” but that was its stated plan at launch, not a guarantee that the playlist would remain indefinitely. The later removal superseded that description. Ubisoft’s current roadmap, last updated September 23, 2026, lists the final assignment under Year 11 Season 1.

Was the beta a review or proof of player reception?

No. Ubisoft’s announcements establish the beta’s dates, platforms, access route, and intended mode design. They do not provide independently sourced test results, a player survey, or measured reception. The title’s “has been tested” refers to the historical closed beta—not testing underway now.
