The $699 iBUYPOWER Slate 6 Mesh deal was a real Walmart Black Friday promotion reported on November 26, 2024—not a price verified as available today. It paired an RTX 4060 with an Intel Core i5-13600KF, 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD. The comparison has also changed: Sony’s U.S. recommended retail price for PS5 Pro became $899.99 on April 2, 2026. That price difference alone does not establish which system offers better gaming performance or value.
What was in the $699 deal?
HotHardware reported the Walmart promotion on November 26, 2024, listing the Slate 6 Mesh at $699, a saving of $500.99, or 41.7% off the listing’s stated MSRP. Those figures describe that 2024 promotion; they are not confirmation of a current price or discount. HotHardware’s deal report also said the offer included a keyboard and mouse and a coupon for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The reported core configuration was an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, Intel Core i5-13600KF, 16GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. iBUYPOWER’s support page for model SlateMeshI5N4602 lists a closely matching Slate 6 Mesh specification: Windows 11 Home, RTX 4060 with 8GB, 16GB DDR5-5200 RGB memory, 1TB NVMe storage, 240mm liquid cooling and a 750W 80 PLUS Gold power supply. Verify the retailer’s exact SKU before assuming every detail on that model page, or the reported bundle items, applied to a particular Walmart listing.

How does it compare to a PS5 Pro?
There is no controlled, exact-model benchmark in the available sources comparing this RTX 4060 desktop with PS5 Pro. HotHardware cautioned that PS5 Pro’s custom hardware has no direct GPU equivalent, while broadly placing its specifications closer to an RTX 4070. That is a high-level comparison from the publisher, not a measured equivalence or proof that one system performs better in every game.
Game-specific results depend on the title, graphics settings, resolution and features in use. The PC’s RTX 4060 supports DLSS Frame Generation, but that feature alone does not establish how the PC compares with PS5 Pro in a particular game. A sound comparison needs testing of the same games under clearly stated conditions, rather than matching console and PC graphics hardware by name.

Why the original price comparison is outdated
The 2024 headline set the PC’s promotional $699 price against PS5 Pro at the time. Sony announced on March 27, 2026 that the U.S. PS5 Pro recommended retail price would rise to $899.99 effective April 2, 2026. The recommended prices announced for the same date were £789.99 in the U.K., €899.99 in Europe and ¥137,980 in Japan. These are regional recommended prices, not guarantees of what any retailer charges; Sony advises customers elsewhere to check local retailers or PlayStation Direct where available. Sony’s March 27, 2026 price announcement gives the change and its effective date.

What to check before buying a similar PC
- Confirm the exact model and components. Match the seller’s SKU to the manufacturer’s specifications; desktops sold under similar names can differ.
- Compare the total current price. Include any required peripherals and games, and distinguish a live listing from a past promotion or a recommended console price.
- Look for relevant game tests. Prefer comparisons using the games you play and clearly stated resolution and settings. The historical deal report does not supply those results for this PC versus PS5 Pro.
- Choose for the platform as well as the hardware. A Windows desktop is a general-purpose PC as well as a gaming system; PS5 Pro is a console. Game access, preferred setup and use beyond gaming can matter alongside price.
- Do not treat another RTX desktop as the same deal. If the Slate 6 Mesh configuration is unavailable, check a replacement PC’s own components and price rather than carrying over the 2024 $699 figure.
