That was a historical promotion—not confirmation that the game can still be claimed for free. The current claim page did not provide offer details when checked, so availability, eligibility, deadline, and redemption method remain unconfirmed.
Which Fallout game was in the offer?
The headline refers to Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game, the original Fallout. Insider Gaming identified it as a 1997 release by Interplay and described a customizable character exploring a post-apocalyptic wasteland. These details were reported in its February 1, 2024 article about that month’s Prime Gaming lineup: Insider Gaming’s February 2024 Prime Gaming report.
Is Fallout still free with Amazon Prime?
The February 1, 2024 article reported that Prime subscribers could claim the game as a Prime Gaming benefit at that time. It does not establish a current offer. When the Amazon Luna claims destination was checked, it displayed a technical difficulties message rather than details about the game. Current claimability, any deadline, geographic eligibility, redemption method, and supported platform are therefore unconfirmed.
“Free” in the article’s headline means part of a reported Prime Gaming promotion, not a universally free game or a confirmed offer today. Check the live Prime Gaming or Luna offer page for an active listing and its terms before expecting to claim it.

What to verify before trying to claim it
If a current listing appears, use its terms to confirm the details that the historical article and the checked claims page do not establish:
- Whether Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game is actually listed and the claim window is open.
- Which countries and Prime memberships are eligible.
- Where and how the game is redeemed, and which platform or launcher it supports.
- Whether an active Prime subscription is required when claiming or playing.
The cited article identifies the game, but it does not establish current Amazon inventory, a present-day price, or platform compatibility. If you find a separate store listing, check that it is for the original game and confirm its format and system requirements there.
