Not according to the current Companies House listing retrieved on 8 October 2026: BALLISTIC MOON LTD is listed as in liquidation, not dissolved. The register records a voluntary winding-up process that began in July 2025 and a liquidator’s statement filed in August 2026. That conflicts with a March 2026 report describing the company as dissolved.
What is Ballistic Moon’s current status?
The Companies House profile for BALLISTIC MOON LTD, company number 08928671, currently lists its status as Liquidation. Its filing history records a special resolution to wind up the company on 15 July 2025, the appointment of a voluntary liquidator on 29 July 2025, and a liquidator’s statement filed on 19 August 2026.

Those entries establish that the company entered a voluntary winding-up process and that the latest filing listed here is a liquidator’s statement. They do not establish why the company entered liquidation. Companies House also cautions: “Companies House does not check the accuracy of the information filed.” That is the register’s general caveat, not an alternative status entry.
Why did reports say Ballistic Moon was dissolved?
GameDeveloper reported on 10 March 2026 that a final Gazette notice dated 3 February 2026 recorded Ballistic Moon’s dissolution. That explains the wording in the earlier coverage, but it conflicts with the more recent Companies House profile and filing history, which list the company as in liquidation and include an August 2026 filing. The current register should therefore take precedence when describing the status shown in the records retrieved on 8 October 2026.

Ballistic Moon’s official games page says its team worked on Until Dawn, rebuilt and enhanced for PS5 and PC. PlayStation Blog identifies the remake’s release date as 4 October 2024. The company register identifies BALLISTIC MOON LTD as a private limited company incorporated on 7 March 2014, with listed business activities that include ready-made interactive leisure and entertainment software development.

The liquidation records do not, by themselves, establish what happens to the game or its availability. Nor do the reviewed records establish the cause of the company’s liquidation.
