The blue Xbox 360 for $249 was a Walmart promotion announced in 2014, not evidence of a current offer. GeekWire reported that the U.S.-exclusive bundle was scheduled to go on sale October 7, 2014. The headline’s “comeback” referred to Microsoft continuing to market the console years after its debut—not to a present-day relaunch.

How did the Target bundle differ?

The 2014 report does not show that Walmart sells the console now. Blue Xbox 360 E consoles, including Call of Duty special-edition 500GB models, have appeared in eBay’s blue Xbox 360 E category, but marketplace listings are separate from Walmart inventory and can change. The category does not establish a current typical price, the condition of a particular console, or whether a listing is complete.

If you are considering a used or collector listing, check the individual seller’s details rather than relying on the old bundle description:
- Confirm the console’s condition and whether it powers on; do not assume a listing has been tested.
- Check whether the matching controller and power supply are included.
- Review region information and the seller’s return terms.
- Compare the listed contents with what you actually want; a used console listing may not include the original bundle’s games or subscription offer.
“Blue Xbox 360 E 500GB Call of Duty special edition” is a useful search phrase for finding collector or used listings, not a guarantee of stock or a particular price.
