The Competitor’s Time Brella was tied to Fortnite’s Ranked Cups in Chapter 4 Season OG: Epic said players had to earn at least 75 points in a session scheduled between November 23 and November 26, 2023. Community posts reported cancellations, but the available evidence does not establish which sessions were affected across all regions and modes—or whether Epic offered a confirmed replacement way to earn the glider.
How players were supposed to earn the Competitor’s Time Brella
Epic’s Chapter 4 Season OG Competitive Details, published November 3, 2023, set the original condition: “Earn at least 75 points in any session from November 23 to November 26 to earn the Competitor’s Time Brella.” The reward was a glider earned through Ranked Cup play, not a general quest reward.
Epic’s Fortnite OG announcement also described the Competitor’s Time Brella as an earnable glider reward from Ranked Cups. Together, these official announcements establish the planned reward and its points threshold, but not what happened to every scheduled session afterward.
What cancellation reports do—and do not—confirm
Two November 2023 posts on Reddit’s r/FortniteCompetitive reported Ranked Cup cancellations: one referred to cancellations in NA, and another described a session canceled after a glitch. These are community reports, not an Epic notice confirming the complete list of affected sessions or the reason for each cancellation.

As a result, the reports support saying that players raised cancellation concerns; they do not prove that every Ranked Cup session was canceled, that all regions or modes were affected, or that the reward became unobtainable for every player.
Was there another way to get the glider?
The available official statements do not establish a substitute quest, compensation policy, or later re-release for the 2023 Competitor’s Time Brella. Claims that Epic granted it through an alternative quest should therefore be treated as unverified unless backed by an official Epic announcement or support response.

One possible source of confusion is Ranker’s Tags. Epic listed those as a separate reward for completing a Ranked Urgent Quest; they were not the Competitor’s Time Brella. Earning Ranker’s Tags does not establish an alternate route to the glider.

The cited announcements describe the original 2023 earning window, not a current offer. Epic’s June 7, 2025 Chapter 6 Season 3 Competitive Details covers a different season’s Ranked Cup format and umbrella reward; it does not say that the Competitor’s Time Brella returned. The sources cited here do not establish a current way to obtain the 2023 glider.
