This branch-to-event mapping is listed in the PowerPyx Forza Horizon 5 trophy guide. Forza’s official achievement list also names The Goliath.
What “Finale Event” means
A Finale Event is the last race in one Horizon Adventure branch, not a single race that requires completing every race in the game. You progress through Horizon Adventure branch unlocks until that branch’s Finale Event becomes available. The XboxAchievements guide describes this general progression.
How to unlock one
Earn Accolade progress and use Horizon Adventure unlocks to advance the branch you want to complete. Its Finale Event appears as the final branch unlock. The cited guides do not establish a reliable current Accolade total or ticket count for each event, so a fixed numerical threshold should not be assumed.

Unlocking a finale versus winning The Goliath
Forza lists “Unlock your first Horizon Finale Event” as the requirement for the Viva Horizon! achievement. It separately lists “Win the Goliath Race Event” for Long Gone. Unlocking any first Finale Event therefore meets the former condition; it does not, by itself, meet the separate Goliath win requirement.

Choose based on the branch you have already advanced, the racing discipline you want to play, or an achievement you are pursuing. If you are targeting Long Gone, the relevant event is The Goliath in Horizon Apex; the other four finales do not substitute for that win.
