The available sources do not establish whether the platform was ever deployed for Atari or whether the companies formally ended their arrangement.
What Atari announced in 2022
On December 1, 2022, GamesBeat reported that Atari planned to use Co:Create’s platform to build tokens for Web3 gaming, making Atari the first company expected to use the platform. The proposed tokens were associated with Atari X, Atari’s Web3 initiative. Co:Create CEO Tara Fung said, “We are thrilled to be supporting Atari X’s token project.” Atari X head Tyler Drewitz described the platform as a way to support the development of Atari’s ecosystem.
Those statements described an announced plan, not a released token or a confirmed deployment. GamesBeat’s report is the direct source for the announcement.
What Co:Create’s platform was designed to do
In a November 2022 post, Co:Create described a platform for configuring token smart contracts and using a dashboard to create, manage, and monitor tokens. Its stated features included token claims and transfers, treasury and vesting wallets, revenue distribution, NFT-holder rewards, staking, and governance. These were features described at the time, not confirmation that Atari used them.

Two token supply models

Co:Create characterized the platform as experimental in November 2022 and said it was available on multiple testnets, with audits and mainnet deployments planned for early Q1 2023. That is the platform’s status as described in its November 2022 post; it should not be read as a statement of current availability.
Why the planned Atari token did not become a confirmed launch
Atari’s FY2023 Universal Registration Document later stated: “given the changing regulatory and commercial landscapes, as well as the Group’s strategic priorities, Atari is unable to create a new token.” Atari said it would focus on Games, Licensing, and Hardware, and, in Web3, on developing Atari Club and continuing collaborations and partnerships. This filing is the clearest available status update on Atari’s new-token plan.

The filing does not establish that every Atari Web3 effort stopped, nor does it say whether Co:Create contracts were deployed or whether the companies formally ended their arrangement. The 2022 announcement therefore remains evidence of a plan, not proof of a completed product.
The Co:Create plan was separate from ATRI
Atari’s planned new token should not be confused with Atari Tokens promoted through the former Atari–ICICB joint venture. In April 2022, Atari said it had terminated the relevant licenses, disclaimed interest in the joint venture, and described the promoted tokens and related channels as unauthorized and outside Atari’s control. Atari discussed a separate proprietary-token plan afterward. Its April 2022 announcement explains that distinction.

What Atari says about its Web3 direction now
Atari’s current Atari Club FAQ describes Club as a multimedia membership platform for games, experiences, merchandise, community interaction, and voting rights. Atari says blockchain is intended to be part of Atari Club, while members do not need to understand Web3 to join. This is Atari’s description of Club, not evidence that a new Atari token launched.
