How relics work in Cursed matches
Before launching a Cursed match, you choose which relics to equip. Relics are debuffs: they make the run harder in exchange for additional Tier power. More relics, and relics with greater potency, allow a match to begin at a higher Cursed tier.
Ownership and equipment are separate. You can collect all 30, then build a lower-risk setup by selecting only a few modifiers, or deliberately stack severe effects for a high-tier trial. The collection therefore functions as a complete menu of options rather than a single permanently active loadout.
What each Cursed tier unlocks

Requirements for Sinister and Wicked trials
Sinister
Sinister trials require every Grim relic plus a Tier 1 setup. In other words, collecting enough relics to unlock the first tier is not sufficient by itself; the Grim set must be complete and equipped at the required power.
Wicked
Wicked trials require a Tier 2 setup. Because Tier 2 already depends on the complete Grim set, progression to Wicked is cumulative rather than a separate shortcut.
Solo versus co-op considerations
The relic system does not remove the normal risk of a high-round run. Solo players have to manage every debuff, resource and recovery themselves, while co-op teams can divide objectives and revive one another. The higher-tier rewards can justify co-op attempts, but the relic effects still apply to the selected match setup and should be tested before committing to a round-60 trial.

The Ashes of the Damned nine-relic milestone
At launch, Ashes of the Damned contained nine relics. The final one, Samantha’s Drawing, was reported by Windows Central’s Richard Devine on January 14, 2026, as a Tier 2 relic.
Completing Samantha’s Drawing’s trial awards the relic. If the other eight Ashes relics are already unlocked, that completion also finishes the Reliquary calling-card challenge.
Samantha’s Drawing has a particularly disruptive effect: Every weapon the player has will swap each round, but retain the Pack-a-Punch and rarity level.
The weapon changes are therefore random from round to round, but your existing upgrade investment is preserved.

Does equipping every relic create a secret permanent bonus?
No permanent player-wide bonus is established. Equipping every available relic would create an extremely severe Cursed setup, increasing Tier power while applying all selected debuffs, but the effects belong to that match. Once the run ends, the relics remain collection items and selectable modifiers rather than an always-on upgrade.
The lasting benefits are the reported Best Friends Camo for completing all 30, access to the full modifier pool, and progression through the tier and calling-card challenges.

What to do after unlocking the last relic
- Open the Cursed pre-match setup and confirm that all 30 relics appear in the collection.
- Check the challenge tracker for the displayed all-relic reward name, since the Best Friends Camo label is community-reported.
- Start with a small selection of familiar relics to learn how their debuffs interact.
- Complete the Grim requirement before attempting Sinister, then use a Tier 2 setup for Wicked.
- For Ashes of the Damned, verify that Samantha’s Drawing and the other eight Ashes relics are credited toward Reliquary.
