In Cyberpunk 2077, Evelyn Parker offers V a 50 percent cut to leave fixer Dexter DeShawn out of the heist. But the choice in The Information does not start a separate Evelyn-led version of the job: walkthroughs say V can consider or refuse her offer, not accept it outright. The practical follow-up is a conversation with Dex, where telling him about Evelyn’s proposal can prompt him to offer V a 40 percent cut.
What does Evelyn offer V?
During The Information, before The Heist, Evelyn asks V to do the job without Dex as the middleman and proposes an even split. PC Gamer reports her proposed share as 50 percent. PC Gamer’s choice guide and the Steam Community dialogue guide describe the offer.
The wording makes the decision sound like a chance to replace Dex, but the available dialogue is more limited. The walkthroughs report that V can say they will think about it or refuse; V cannot immediately accept Evelyn’s alternative deal and take the heist away from Dex. PowerPyx’s walkthrough covers the quest exchange and responses.
What happens when V talks to Dex?
Later, V can tell Dex that Evelyn tried to cut him out. PC Gamer reports that bringing up her offer can lead Dex to offer V a 40 percent cut. Its guide also describes a way to ask Dex for more money without revealing Evelyn’s proposal, with a smaller increase. These are guide-reported dialogue outcomes, not guaranteed payouts independent of dialogue conditions or game version.

So the meaningful immediate distinction is how V handles the conversation: disclose Evelyn’s offer and pursue the reported 40 percent proposal, or keep it to themself and negotiate without that leverage. The sources do not establish that V can simply accept Evelyn’s 50 percent offer instead.

The walkthroughs characterize V’s response to Evelyn as a minor choice with little or no significant long-term story impact. They do not support claims that this exchange unlocks an Evelyn-led heist route, guarantees retaliation from Dex, changes Judy’s romance eligibility, or determines the ending. The documented distinction is primarily about role-play and the later payment conversation with Dex.

For role-play, the choice is whether V entertains Evelyn’s attempt to bypass the fixer who arranged the job or stays aligned with Dex. For a concrete conversation consequence, PC Gamer’s account is that telling Dex can produce the 40 percent offer. Neither point turns the exchange into a confirmed alternate heist branch.

Which response should you choose?
- Want to see the reported higher-cut conversation? Tell Dex that Evelyn approached V about cutting him out; PC Gamer says Dex can respond with a 40 percent offer.
- Prefer to keep Evelyn’s proposal private? Do not disclose it when speaking with Dex. The guide describes a separate request for more money with a smaller increase.
- Choosing for story consequences? The guides report little or no significant long-term effect from the Evelyn dialogue itself, so choose the response that fits your V’s role-play.
