Trials Rising has not been given a confirmed shutdown date. RedLynx has been restructured and has faced a reported or proposed closure process, but Ubisoft has not published a Trials Rising-specific notice ending its servers. The game’s planned new-content pipeline already ended with Season 6 in 2020, so a later studio closure would not be the event that stops new tracks and bikes.
For players, the practical answer is split across several systems: seasonal competition and sharing were promised to continue, offline features generally survive Ubisoft service retirements, and downloadable-content compatibility depends on the storefront where the base game was purchased.

The short answer: no Trials Rising shutdown has been confirmed
RedLynx’s restructuring does not automatically switch off Trials Rising. Ubisoft’s current game materials still present Trials Rising and its editions, while Ubisoft support documentation remains available. RedLynx’s own description of a strategic refocus and restructuring proposal, together with Ubisoft’s January 21, 2026 corporate announcement, does not state that Trials Rising servers will end.
That distinction matters because a studio can lose staff or change direction without Ubisoft immediately decommissioning a game’s online infrastructure. A formal, game-specific Ubisoft notice would be needed to establish an end date. Until such a notice appears, an exact server retirement date is unresolved.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The game is also not in the same position it was at launch. New track and bike production already ended years ago, and the remaining online functions were described as an ongoing service rather than a promise of perpetual operation.
What already ended: Season 6 was the final new-content season
Ubisoft News announced Season 6, “Journey of Trials,” as the sixth and final season of new tracks and bikes. That announcement was made in 2020, so the planned content pipeline ended independently of the current RedLynx restructuring story.
In other words, players should not expect a RedLynx closure to cancel a future schedule of regular track and bike releases. That schedule had already concluded. The end of new content does not, by itself, mean that the game becomes unplayable or that every online feature disappears.

Ubisoft’s announcement made the separation explicit: “Though this season marks the end of new tracks and bikes for Trials Rising, seasonal multiplayer rankings and events will continue to offer players an outlet for competition and a chance to earn seasonal items.”
What Ubisoft said about multiplayer and servers
The same Season 6 announcement said that competitive multiplayer and events would continue in the existing seasonal structure. It also stated that “servers will remain active, including leaderboards and sharing of player-designed tracks and cosmetic items.”

This is the strongest published statement about Trials Rising’s continuing online features, but it should be read as a historical Ubisoft commitment, not a lifetime guarantee. Ubisoft can later replace that position with a formal service-retirement notice. The statement does establish that the end of new tracks and bikes was not announced as an immediate shutdown of multiplayer, leaderboards, or player-created content sharing.
Server-dependent features include more than head-to-head competition. Seasonal rankings, event progression, leaderboards, in-game news, and the uploading or downloading of user-designed tracks and cosmetic items all rely on services outside the local game installation. If Ubisoft eventually decommissions those services, these functions are the most exposed.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat a RedLynx closure could change
A developer closure or major reduction in staff can affect several parts of a game at different times. It may end first-party patches, bug fixes, moderation, community operations, or event administration if Ubisoft does not assign those duties to another team. It does not necessarily terminate the servers on the same day.
There is no published evidence that Ubisoft has made a Trials Rising-specific decision to stop online services because of RedLynx’s restructuring. Treat the following as scenarios rather than confirmed changes:
| Area | If RedLynx simply loses development staff | If Ubisoft later decommissions Trials Rising online services |
|---|---|---|
| New tracks and bikes | Already ended with Season 6 in 2020; a closure does not create a new end date. | No change to the already-ended content pipeline. |
| Bug fixes and technical support | Future patches or hands-on support could slow or stop unless another team takes over; no takeover has been announced. | Online-service support would end as part of the retirement process. |
| Competitive multiplayer and seasonal events | Could continue under existing operations; current sources do not announce a termination. | Expected to stop under Ubisoft’s stated legacy-service pattern. |
| Leaderboards and statistics | Could remain available while the service operates. | Expected to become unavailable when the relevant online service is shut down. |
| Sharing player-created tracks and cosmetic items | Can continue if the sharing servers remain active. | Expected to stop because uploads and downloads require Ubisoft’s servers. |
| Offline campaign and local play | No announced change. | Ubisoft says offline features of decommissioned games remain available, subject to practical platform requirements. |
| DLC and storefront access | Controlled by the platform and storefront where the base game and DLC were purchased. | Previously acquired content may remain usable, but the sources do not establish a Trials Rising-specific storefront policy after a shutdown. |
How Ubisoft’s legacy-service policy applies
Ubisoft’s general legacy-service support page says that, for games it decommissions, “the online multiplayer services, in-game news and player statistics for most games listed below have been shut down.” It also says that “the offline features of the games are unaffected and remain available.”

That policy provides a useful model, not a Trials Rising shutdown notice. Trials Evolution PC appears on Ubisoft’s listed retirement information with a January 25, 2024 retirement date. Trials Rising does not appear in the reviewed N-to-Z portion of that list. Therefore, the available policy page does not establish that Trials Rising has been decommissioned or assign it an end date.

Offline access should remain available under Ubisoft’s stated pattern, but that is a practical inference from the general policy, not a game-specific guarantee.
What “offline play remains available” really means
Offline survival does not mean every feature works without a connection. A locally installed campaign, tracks already downloaded to the console or PC, and other self-contained functions are the best candidates to keep working. Seasonal rankings, event updates, online statistics, shared user tracks, and other data retrieved from Ubisoft’s servers would not be expected to continue after decommissioning.
Platform authentication can also matter. A console or PC launcher may require an account check when the game is first installed, restored, or moved to a new device. Ubisoft’s general policy does not specify every authentication condition for Trials Rising, so players should not interpret “offline features remain available” as a promise that every future hardware change will be frictionless.
Downloaded content is another separate issue. Ubisoft warns that DLC bought through Ubisoft.com or Ubisoft Connect is compatible only with base games bought on those platforms. A purchase on one storefront should not be assumed to unlock a base game bought through a different storefront, even when the product names are identical.

Trials Rising editions and platform considerations
Ubisoft’s product materials list Trials Rising, Gold Edition, the Expansion Pass, and Crash & Sunburn content. The materials describe availability associated with PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and the Stadia-era version of the game.
Edition names do not change the underlying service question. Gold Edition and an Expansion Pass can provide additional content, but neither purchase preserves Ubisoft servers, restores multiplayer after a shutdown, or guarantees cross-storefront DLC rights.
Before reinstalling or buying an add-on, check three details:
- Which platform account owns the base game.
- Which storefront sold the base game and the DLC.
- Whether the add-on is listed for that exact platform and edition.
Those checks are especially important for players moving between a console purchase, Ubisoft Connect, and another PC storefront.

What players can do now
1. Separate local progress from server data
Keep the game installed on the device where you play it, and avoid assuming that a future reinstall will restore every online item. Campaign progress and locally stored settings are different from rankings, event records, and shared creations maintained by servers.

2. Download content you want to use locally
If the game offers an option to download or save a player-created track for local use, do so while sharing servers are operating. A track that exists only in the online catalog may not be retrievable after a service retirement.
3. Record important account and platform details
Keep the Ubisoft account associated with the game, the console or PC account, and purchase receipts or order records. These details cannot keep a service online, but they help resolve entitlement problems while support and storefront systems still recognize the product.
4. Check official notices rather than rumors
A confirmed retirement should identify Trials Rising by name, specify the affected platforms or features, and provide an effective date. A report that RedLynx is restructuring is not equivalent to that notice.

How to read future announcements
Ubisoft may announce changes in stages. The end of new content, a reduction in support staff, an online-service retirement, and a storefront delisting are separate decisions. One announcement should not be treated as proof of all four.
For Trials Rising, the key wording to look for is a game-specific statement naming online multiplayer, leaderboards, player-created-track sharing, statistics, in-game news, or an exact shutdown date. If an announcement discusses only RedLynx’s corporate structure, it does not answer those service questions.
Likewise, a delisting would not automatically prove that installed copies stop working, and an offline-access statement would not imply that multiplayer remains active. The affected feature, platform, and effective date must be read separately.

- Season 6 was the final season of new Trials Rising tracks and bikes, announced in 2020.
- Ubisoft said seasonal multiplayer, events, leaderboards, and sharing would continue after that content pipeline ended.
- RedLynx’s reported or proposed restructuring does not itself announce a Trials Rising server shutdown.
- Ubisoft’s legacy-service policy says online services can be removed while offline features remain available.
- Trials Rising is not identified as decommissioned in the reviewed Ubisoft legacy-service list.
- No exact Trials Rising server end date is established until Ubisoft publishes a game-specific retirement notice.
Until that last condition changes, the sensible expectation is continued access to the game’s existing offline content and whatever online functions Ubisoft still operates, without expecting new tracks or bikes to return.
