Find all 14 dinosaur bones in Sneaky Sasquatch and the Museum Owner completes the Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton exhibit and rewards you with the Archeologist Hat. The dog can keep finding bones after that, and the Museum Owner buys extra ones for 25 coins each, according to the community-maintained Museum reference.
What do you get for finding all the dinosaur bones?
The complete set is 14 bones. Turning them in completes the T. rex skeleton exhibit and earns the Archeologist Hat. The hat is a cosmetic accessory that you can equip through a custom outfit; it does not change Sasquatch’s abilities.
If the museum building is not finished yet, the skeleton is assembled outside near the dig site. Once construction is complete, it moves inside. You can collect bones while the museum is still under construction.
How do you find and dig up the bones?
- Speak with the Museum Owner. This enables the dog’s dinosaur-bone search.
- Bring the dog into areas where bones may be buried. The dog signals when a bone is nearby.
- Follow the signal to the dig spot and dig. Repeat until you have found all 14 bones.
The dog can also search for truffles, and its bone-finding behavior may be affected after it learns that skill. The community-maintained Dog reference advises speaking with the Museum Owner to switch the dog back to bones, or with the Mushroom Hunter to switch it to truffles. If the dialogue or behavior differs in your game version, follow the current in-game prompts.

What happens after the skeleton is complete?
You can continue finding bones after completing the exhibit. The Museum Owner buys extra bones for 25 coins each, according to the Museum reference page. A December 2024 player-discussion reply gives a conflicting payout, so treat the 25-coin amount as the reference page’s reported figure rather than a separately verified current rate.
Does the Archeologist Hat unlock anything else?
Yes. The community-maintained Paleontologist reference says you need all 14 bones and the Archeologist Hat before you can hang out with her. That makes the hat relevant beyond completing the museum exhibit.

Where did the dinosaur-bone hunt come from?
The Museum Update reference identifies version 1.5.1, released December 10, 2020, as the update that added the museum, the dog’s search ability, and dinosaur bones for building a T. rex skeleton. That is historical update information, not confirmation of the game’s current version.
