There is no official score that makes a Subway Surfers run “good.” A useful milestone is 100,000 points: Apple’s App Store editorial sets that as a challenge using default character Jake and the starter hoverboard, with no continues. It is a challenge target, not an average score or an official ranking. For your own progress, compare a run with your personal best and note whether you mean one run or the cumulative Daily High Score.
What counts as a good high score in Subway Surfers?
“Good” depends on your experience and the kind of score you are measuring. Your personal best is the clearest way to track improvement; 100,000 points is a concrete challenge milestone, not a universal cutoff. Apple’s challenge specifies default hero Jake, the starter hoverboard and no continues, so it should not be treated as a claim about typical scores or the all-time record.
Daily High Score is a different measure: it adds score across the day toward reward tiers. SYBO says the total needed to unlock every tier changes from day to day, giving 75,000 and 385,000 as examples. Those figures are examples, not fixed daily targets.
How do I increase my score multiplier?
Work on the multiplier before chasing a long run. SYBO says completing missions raises the permanent score multiplier up to x30. The same Help Center page also lists character, seasonal Crew, Score Booster and the in-run x2 multiplier as ways the multiplier can be affected; not every bonus is necessarily available in every run or situation. SYBO separately says a purchased Multiplier Pack can raise the maximum to x35.

Check your missions and multiplier before starting a run. A higher multiplier means points earned during the run count more toward the score, so improving it can make a successful run more productive without changing your route or survival strategy.
How can I stay alive long enough to score more?
Choose routes that give you room to react
Apple recommends using rooftops, which can provide more escape routes and help you avoid obstacles along the roadside. Favor a route that leaves you time and space to respond over a risky detour for a coin or power-up. A small pickup is not worth losing a promising run to a collision.

Use hoverboards as a limited crash buffer
A hoverboard can let you hit an obstacle and continue, but the board is consumed. Apple describes it as a score-saver, not protection from every mistake. If you have a strong run underway and a collision seems likely, activating a board can preserve that run; do not treat it as invulnerability.
Use power-ups when they support your run
Google Play’s starter tips list the jetpack, Super Sneakers, Coin Magnet and 2x Multiplier among the available power-ups, alongside hoverboards and missions. Their value depends on what is available and how safely you can use it. Prioritize staying on a safe route rather than taking a dangerous line to collect an item.

How should I approach a Hoverboard Challenge?
Challenge rules can differ from ordinary score chasing. SYBO says that in the Hoverboard Challenge, score counts only while a board is active; the global multiplier applies, and collected coins are included. Check the challenge’s rules before comparing its result with a normal run or your personal best.
